Since this is a prayer list and I truly am not being political but I believe we all need to pray that our new leaders will have the wisdom and judgement to lead us where we need to go and I know that depending on our Lord can help with that. This is a New Day in the USA and my prayers will be with our leaders. Ann

You bet we do! Prayers for wisdom, judgement, all that goes with being the leader of the free world, whether it's Bush or Obama, they need our prayers!

Last night my SIL's boss lost his 19 year-old son in a traffic accident. He was on a winding, country road and didn't make a curve and flipped. He died from massive head and chest injuries. It has to be a parent's worst nightmare, to have a deputy appear at your door in the middle of the night with your son's drivers license. I don't know the family, but we all need to remember them at this horrible time. Ironically, my 18-year old DGS was on that same road a little later, came around the curve and saw all the emergency vehicles. He didn't find out until this morning who was involved. I hope this was a sobering lesson for him, so that maybe he'll be more cautious.

Ann and Lynn, you are SO RIGHT--all of us need to pray for our leaders. And Gran5, I'm so sorry for that family's loss--I've said a prayer for them. Judy in Torrance

Hi all, it's been a while since I've posted. I had surgery on Oct. 15. I had a mesh sling to bring my bladder back into place and one to hold the bowel in place. Also had a bladder neck suspension and my sphincter muscle was in two pieces, so the doctor stitched it back together. Soon after the surgery, I developed a bladder infection, so I was back in the hospital for 4 days. I was released this past Thursday. I'm still having some complications, so I'd really appreciate your prayers.

                Thanks, Sharon in TN

Sharon, more prayers coming your way and prayers for those bacteria to BE GONE!

And Gram, so sorry about the MVA of SIL's boss' son. My sister has had the middle of the night visit by the police to tell her of daughter's death in a boating accident. I will never forget the wail of pain at that funeral when they closed the casket over my beautiful neice! Such grief.

Yes, sometimes prayer is what heals the best. And sometimes it's a hug. And sometimes its a word. And sometimes it's just the presence of someone who cares.

Special prayer for all those unspoken special intentions.

Thank you all for your prayers. I'm hoping this whole thing will be over soon and I can get back to thinking about something besides 'when do I take my next medicine'.

Have a great week, Sharon in TN
