Thank you for the continued prayers! This goes a long way towards my sanity!

MK - "Facility Supervisor" or "Building Manager" or something along that line. That's basically what he's been doing over the last 14 years.

Teri, I will pray for your DH, and I ask that you pray for us, as well. Just found out my DH will lose his job after the end of the year. This is pretty scary - I think I'll be looking for work, also. We will be losing our health insurance, which was such a blessing to us when I had my surgery (kidney cancer) a year ago. And he's been doctoring for a blood clot in his leg. I hope I'm not too rusty to get a job with benefits (it's been 8 years). Perhaps Wal-Mart is still hiring?? Please pray that we will make good decisions.

Joan sounds like your Dad's sromache is in the right place.
To all of those who's companies are downsizing or going out of business my heart aches for you. I pray for you all frequently.

Just to give you all a quick update on my situation.
Elijah is doing better. His stomach still hurts from time to time but we have cut out milk and sugar and that seems to have helped the most. especially the milk.
I talked to my one neighbors daughter and she told me that the neighbors on the otherside of me are the ones that are getting her going. They are telling her that the false statements. And getting her a riled up. She is nearly blind (her vision is very blury with no depth perception, but she can see colors), that and she is 89 years old. Anyway we had peace this weakend.

Thank you Carla, MK, well just everyone for your thoughtful words. My family and I really appreci ate all your prayers. I think those prayers just helped get us past the midnight mark.

RAchel it's good to here that Elijah is doing well and that you had a peacefull weekend.

Teri, are there any job fairs in your area? There have been a few in the tri-state area, here. Perhaps some "cold calling" like they suggest on the women for hire website?

There are really great tips on this site.

              Best of luck, Lissette

I just heard this morning that my closest friend over the last 50 years has had a recurrence of her bowel cancer. It is not a secondary cancer which is a good thing but she had to have an op on Friday and the next stage is chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Please keep her (Di) and her family in your prayers for a successful outcome. Thank you

Saw J's family at Mass this morning. She looked really good. They had a good camping trip, stayed one night and most of the next day. She could skip one Dialysis treatment, but not two. Had a lot of fun doing the ropes course and archery and a bunch of other stuff.

Just had to post a thanks on the prayer list. I should have posted it earlier this week but have been "bizzy" I went to the doctor on Tues. (a new hemotologist but not new to me because I went to him in '05 when they thought I had bone cancer- I just didn't realize until a couple of weeks ago he handled blood diseases too bad me should have asked more questions) Anyway my blood tests came back wonderful. I guess the "lemons" that were handed my way (read my blog archives for the background) must have been what I needed. The ten iron infusions in September in Chicago have held up and my hemoglobin is 14.4 (highest it has been for me in probably ten years) and my ferritin level which should be above 40 or 50 and for me is usually around ten is now at an amazing 180. I had to ask the nurse for the score at least three times because I couldn't believe that she had told me the right thing. but this doctor plans to test me every month through the winter and see if we can find a pattern to when I start dropping and then develop a preventative program so that I will not have to have blood transfusions every few months. so for now I am giving thanks to the Lord and praying that I stay on this path. But I know that I am thankful that finally I have been led to some doctors here in Texas, in Memphis and in Chicago that all speak the same language and are willing to work together. Hopefully I am on a new path. Thank you all my friends for your prayers and concern and I will keep you posted. Hugs, love and I will continue prayers for the rest of the group, Ann

What a relief Ann to finally get a set of Drs. that are willing to work together on solving your problem. I hope the good results continue.

Ann I was just reading your blog and wondered where you were getting all your energy. I thought you sounded like you were doing better than these past few weeks/months. So glad to hear of all the good reports and especially that you will have cohesive care between your travels. That's really good news.
