    Love your background/sky fabric.

FYI: Laser printer can warm the shiny side too much; hence jamming.
Freezer paper NEEDS to be ONLY used IN Ink Jet printer...no heat.

I decided to add 1/4" to a few of the house measurements. It has made it easier to make sure the fabric covers the entire pattern area. When making the first few houses it felt like the fabric was barely covering the pattern area. Had to rip several times and replace fabric. Loving the freezer paper method!

You can always make the pieces bigger, an extra 1/2” or more can really help. Another reason I recommend cutting and making only one house first, so we can make any changes we want before cutting them all.

Small Houses 1 and 2 have used Bali fabrics from my stash.

Mytime & Roxannecooper, I agree. I too had to add 1/4 “ to some of the measurements in order to get complete seam coverage.

Once I got over the initial difficulties, the houses went rather quickly. I used the 1/4" inch foot on my little Bernina and found the freezer paper method quite easy to do. Here are my 16 small houses #1 & 2.

Completed my 16 small houses today. After the initial difficulties I was having, it started going much easier and faster. I used my 1/4 inch foot on my little Bernina and moved the needle over 2 spaces and it worked beautifully. here are my small houses.

Hoping I keep up the momentum once I head back to work. The technique has been fun and quite easy

People are posting their houses to two different spots. Color my World Houses 1 and 2 or Show and Tell with helpful hints. Can these topics be combined or should we just check both for what is posted.

They can’t be combined so we just have to check both places.

Next month I will start a Topic: Show Your Month ___ Blocks here. That should keep all the photos in one Topic.

I had the same issue and changed to a plastic clear foot. Issue went away
