As I have been working on blocks ideas of how to put them together have been coming and going. As typical for me it will be something different.

Diane Ross, I love the use of log cabin blocks in your design layout. And the use of taupe vertically and brown vertically and lavendar and purple thru out looks just great!!!
Very pleasing to the eye, and interesting.
Like you, I don't Kaffe in my stash. I have been using Kaffe by importing fabric screenshot into EQ8. Love the look you developed. Helen

Alex mentioned she might put some Kaffe polka dots in her quilt. So I had to play with that idea. Just for you Alex!!! HelenW

I know I will need to play with Diane Ross's log cabin idea too.

Love the distribution of KF color blocks blue to red to blue in your quilt - black makes it really pop.

I am so impressed and inspired with all of the blocks that y’all are posting. And also grateful for the classes that Alex has offered during this wacky Corona Quarantine—this has been such a wonderful anchor and way to connect with the quilting and sewing community.

Once again, I let the fabric guide me and it took me to the beat of another drummer! But I’ve been listening to Alex for months now and it’s soaking in...value does the work...organize blocks into neighborhoods...balance colors around the space. I just love it! Maybe next project I’ll follow the design better

Well, once again I let the fabric guide me and followed the path less taken

While I was waiting for my Kaffe fabrics to arrive, I played around with fabric from my stash. Inspiration from this wild horse fabric.

Well, once again, I let the fabric guide me and followed the path less taken. But Alex's lessons resonated and took my hand...value does the work...organize blocks into neighborhoods...leverage a design wall...and I love it! Maybe next project I'll follow along better...

Alex, at the end of the class you said next block was the four pinwheel block, I can't find the pattern for it in the block tool book, help!
