I second that!!! I have a Husqvarna, but my edge foot makes the stitching fun and worry-free! YEAH!

I so agree with Les about pre-washing. I never recommend against it, but I am an art quilter and never pre-wash my fabric. The only cautionary advice would be when you label the finished quilt, please note -DO NOT WASH- in your label. I have a label I attach as a separate one from the information label; (quilt name, maker name, date, etc.) that is -CARE INSTRUCTIONS- and offer a suggestion of how to clean an wall quilt. The reason being, your quilt may eventually ends up in someone else's possession, unless you outlive the quilt. :P

Hi, I finished both sets 1 & 2 Houses. They were fun. I'll be excited to see next month's pattern. I had already been familiar with the freezer paper piecing--which helped, I'm sure. I look forward to seeing all of your pictures!

Amen to that! Having used #37 for 1/4" seams -- I think the #10 is wonderful!

PattiMack I did a double take when I saw your houses - exactly the same background as me with solids! What are the chances?

Finally able to start stitching my wool felt houses after picking up 2 dozen yummy colors of Valdani thread. Some solid colors and lots of variegated.

These are my first two houses. Since I can’t stitch these to my TBD whole cloth linen background until after the compass is done, perhaps later, I’m limited to basically doing doors and windows. Lots of fun embellishment to come. The house on the left is my childhood home. Hoping to add the flowering crabapple tree in our front yard.

'nhbaskets' these are just WONDERFUL!!! Thanks for sharing the thread photos, too. A small wool version is going to have to be in my future--really love what you are doing!

OK so I SINCERELY tried this method but I guess it's too delicate for me, so I made up my own house block so I can still play along some. Fused the windows but the rest is pieced and the plan is to heavily embelish each house with decorative stitching etc. The fabrics are Tula Pink's handmade.
