Anabeth: I love how you did the flying geese!

    Comment

My pinwheels are finally done, but I haven't got around to doing the floaters yet. I did start a few flying geese, but feel like I'm VERY far behind!

Rose, it's not a race, you'll get there

Hey looks great. If I could get through all this then you can too. The info on the forum has saved me from stopping. So carry on quiltpetty.

            1945quilter,
I love your "string of pearls" border! I like your sherbet-like palette, too.

My little two-step ladder is not tall enough for me to get the entire quilt top in the picture. You get the idea, though.

At the start of this project, I thought I should work diligently to "keep up." Now I wish I was "catching up" so I could take advantage of a few of the adaptations some of you are making. Perhaps I'll adopt that approach next year. :-)

I was also thinking that the pinwheel border was too busy, but I have them almost done, even though I am still doing the second month of the curved flying geese. I went back to the white background as I couldn't find any more of the turquoise fabric I wanted to use. Bought three other fabrics, did a bunch of geese in one of them and wasn't happy with the look. So further behind I get, but I will get there.
1945quilter Becky is right on. Great Job. Thanks for sharing.

Haven't posted my quilt for a while but here it is with the flying geese finished. I love seeing what others are doing and the variations are wonderful.

The flying geese are finished - I have come to the conclusion that I am better at sewing than photography.....
