This is a wonderful thread! I just found it! You all will be in my prayers. Thank you for praying for all with fibromyalgia, I have that. This is a wonderful feeling, I may feel alone here in my new town, but you all are just a click away. I am so glad I joined this group, Thank you for all of you!

Hi Joan! Fibromylagia is much mis-understood. I will pray for you! And welcome to our prayer thread. We've become a close group!

I was recently telling DH how you all feel like family and that I hurt when you hurt. It is kinda of funny to think you can be so close to people you have never physically met. Anyway, you are all on my prayer list. God bless!

I recieved news today that my Uncle is responding well to chemo and his hemoglobin is up. No need to see his oncologist until October if he maintains this progress. God is good!

I hesitate to ask, but need to ask for prayers for me. I am struggling with a lot right now - family life is great, but things outside of that are a lot of pressure and unhappiness. I have been deep in prayer on a daily basis and know that is I turn over my problems to Him, that this, too, shall pass.

I pray for all of you daily! God Bless and have a great week! Mary Kay

It is funny how we can connect through this group and prayer. I hope things brighten up for you both, Ritzy and Mary Kay. Yesterday at Mass one of the prayer intentions was "for anyone that you promised to pray for". I was thinking how cool that it opened it out so all of the people there at church were now also praying for all of you too. Prayer ripples spreading out.

Thank you all for your prayers. I'm feeling better, finally no pain pills today. I'm still taking it easy today, doing a little bit then taking it easy.

Mary Kay, you're such a bright positive person, I'm frustrated that someone is pulling your chain. You want I should run him/her/them over with my scooter chair?! Seriously I will pray for relief and wisdom for the situation. And Ritzy, the same for you, relief and wisdom for whomever might have to make whatever decisions coming up. I think it is always appropriate to pray for life and healing even if I don't understand what's happening.

Mary Kay, I am so sorry you are having a hard time right now. Just remember that this to shall pass. Time heals all wounds (and if necessary wounds all heals LOL)

Ritzy it is perfectly normal for you to be concerned and upset for someone that some one you love also loves. I have two step grandchildren who should have left when the marriage broke up but their Mom (my ex daughter in law) and both of her kids are very special to me and my dh. We love them as much as if they were our own family from the beginning and are blessed because they return the love. Family is who you love not necessarily who shares your genes.

I am doing great right now -don't enjoy the iron infusions but they are better than hospitalizations when I don't expect them so for now I am in a good place.

So I keep praying for all of you on the list and others here at TQS like Sherry (ipquilter) who is dealing with the menace Gustav.

But all in all God is good all the time. All the time God is good.

Hugs to all of you, Ann

                      I hurt when you hurt
Yesterday's Homily (sermon) was on our "crosses to bear" and the Priest referenced "Mary's cross" and how hers was actually MORE difficult than Jesus'-- To be at the foot of his cross and have to witness and not be able to do anything about it. I was nodding along, nothing hurts more than seeing ones you love in pain (physical or emotional)

You all are all in my prayers, we all carry crosses...

Ann I didn't realize you were packing more iron. As always I will pray for you but now I will just be more specific.
Frances, I am glad to hear that you are able to go without the pain pills. But don't suffer use the if need be.
Florence, you probably feel about as helpless as can be. I also will pray for your sister. I know it is difficult being the care giver of your parents. I also know it is difficult when you just can't get there. I pray that no feelings are bruised on either side due to stress.
Patti, go slow at going back to work. remember you don't want to reinjure yourself :!: I am so glad you are feeling better though.
Ritzy, poor Jordan What his mother must be going through and your daughters. I wish I could help is some way other then prayer.

JoanRae, There are several sites on the net about Fibro plus you have a wealth of knowlege right here with these wonderful ladies. I know they helped me a great deal.
MaryKay, I am sorry about your uncle having chemo. Cancer in any part of ones family is never easy.
about your depression though. Try not to carry all of your burdens. They are not yours to carry. I do not know if you are religious so I will not preach to you. I do know that a basket full of bricks is lighter though if you ask some one to share the load.

Rachel, thank you for your kind words. It has been difficult for me right now, moving back to VA after 17 years in CA, and all my boys in college! I'm starting to go to mass every day, then do an errand so I am out of the house. Then come home and start quilting! I'm trying to take it one day at a time, and one doctor at a time! First a new gastro doc, then maybe I can get out from under the heating pad! This site has been wonderful for me. I was so busy working/packing/bad health since I joined The Quilt Show, I never used the forum. I am looking forward to sharing life with all of you and hope my prayers help you all too.

Believe me they do. Sometimes it is nice to know that there is some one else out there who feels your pain and is thinking of you. I too thought this summer would be better. Usually they are. Today I sat down with the Soc Security person and found out my life story. Past and future. Time to change authors and setting this one sucks and the plot is going no where. If I win my lawsuit I am chasing Ann. Her life sounds a lot more fun and I can find sun shine wiht her.
Update on my brother by the way. They could not do the Surg today. they couldn't reach the mass any more. They have closed down all the arteries going to the largest parts of the mass. So they are scheduling the gamma knife soon.
My other brother and his wife both need surg he needs it on his knee and she needs it on her back. Both are labeled temp totally disabled until they have surg. So please pray for my parents. tHEY ALL LIVE WITH THEM :!: :!:  YEP YOU READ THAT  RIGHT

Wow, Rachel, sounds like your family definitely needs to be covered with prayer. I need to report that Lisa, my daughter with post-partum depression, is doing better. She's on meds and is seeing a therapist she likes. But mostly she is relying on the Lord. I just got off the phone with her, and here is what God did for her: A woman called up to make a play-date for her daughter with Lisa's daughter. Lisa thought she was her therapist (same name!) and when she heard tears in Lisa's voice, she asked if she was OK. "No, I'm not..." was about all Lisa could get out. She wouldn't have said even that much except she thought she was talking to her therapist! This woman, who Lisa knows only casually, says, "Hold on - I'll be right over." She was there shortly. It turns out she is a strong believer, and could be a spiritual support as well as a physical support. She also heads up a MOPS group (for young mothers of preschoolers), and they have a network of women who will help out with child care in an emergency, organize gatherings and walks, etc., etc... just what Lisa needs! God is so good. I don't know why I'm surprised.
