Jordan had a rough night; they had taken out two chest tubes and they will have to put them back plus add one; they found an air pocket on his lungs(whatever that means); they have given him at least two units of blood but can't do testing to find where he is bleeding; they are to do an EEG today; they think he may be having seizures.

I will continue to pray for all your needs.

Wow Rachel, your brother is really going through it. That must be so difficult for him and your family. Will be praying as you requested. Ritzy, still holding up Jordan in prayer. We just have to keep on persevering in our prayers for these guys.

Please keep me in your prayers. I've had a sore spot on my side since Sunday. It started like a bug bite. My doctor on Wednesday said that it was an infection and put me on antibiotics. He wanted to see me again today to see how it looked. It was still really bad, worse than it was on Wednesday. So he gave me a bunch of liodcaine and lanced it. I've been taking the Darvocet all day and it still really hurts. And I had committed to usher tonight also. Unfortunately it's at one of the theaters that on Greg and I work at or I would send one of my kids. At least it's a small theater with no stairs so I should be ok. Tomorrow is Gone With the Wind where a collector brings a bunch of costumes and props that Brandi and I missed last year. I really want to go tomorrow.

Oh my I can't believe you all going through so much. One of the best things about this thread is that it makes you realize you are not alone. I do hope that Jordan is improving. Frances take some time to heal. Remember Darvocet is a narcotic.

            Rachel,

Yes I do know that about Darvocet. That's why I don't drive when I take it. My daughter knows that she is driving tomorrow. In fact, all my kids watch out for me and drive me if I can't drive myself.

Oh My, what a lot of hurting people out there. I have started a prayer list and keep adding to it every day. My husband is some better, he thinks he cracked a rib in addition to his compression fracture. I can't imagine how he could have done it.

Anyway, I have a prayer to add. My granddaughter, Briana, is on a month long trip to southeast Asia with a group of friends prior to their beginning graduate school at Stanford. They have had a great time, but now with the trouble in Thailand we are really worried. She is to fly out of Bangkok on Tuesday to return home. Please keep her in your prayers for safe return to New York. And for all her friends as well. It's so scary.

Prayers are headed Cecille's way, Kathy! Also Jordan and his family, Rachel's brother, and Frances. I hope the antibiotics do the trick for the infection. I'm thinking we should also be praying for those in the path of Gustav. And also Sherry's (MontanaGrandma) BIL is having heart problems that they're monitoring.

I am praying for everyone, too! I hadn't heard about the trouble in Thailand, so I'm going to go look for that in the news now. I read this list several times a day to know what to pray for. Hugs to all!

Ritzy is there any improvemant with Jordan?
Frances, I am glad to hear you have a list of drivers willing to drive you other places besides crazy. :P
To those of you with sick and injured little ones. I am glad to hear that they are on the mend.
Speaking of littleones there is a bennefit bike run (dicerun, I think it is called) in memmory of my friends little boy with proceeds going towards Children's Hospital Organ Donation Unit. So if anyone out there rides motorcycle, let me know and I will get you the info if interested.

I'm reminded I haven't updated lately on my folks, although I check in here daily to keep up with the rest of you and yours, so here goes:
My Dad is doing great, he even went to work a few days this week... lucky him, his office is ONE block from home, so no driving necessary. And yesterday we got lots of info on Mama. Her white counts have been steadily rising, but this week she got a terrible rash. Now we know that it's a rash resulting from ending one of her drugs, not a sign of Graft vs. Host Disease. GVH can actually be a good thing (in small qty) b/c it means the body recognizes something foreign. Turns out that's not the case b/c Mama's white cells are 95% her own, only 5% from my brother, so essentially the transplant didn't take. That sounds horrible, but the fact that her own are growing back makes this almost like an autologous transplant, which can work as well. We don't know what any of this means in terms of her long-term prognosis, but short-term it means she'll likely be home in a few weeks, b/c she won't have to be monitored so closely for signs of rejection. Her spirits remain strong. Having the 2 of them back together should do them BOTH some good, I know this separation has been tough, and my sister is anxious to be home as well. Here, it'll be easier to share the load, and less load altogether. Modern medicine is a gift from God!
Thank you all for your prayers and concern, you've expanded my sisterhood! Florence

Wow Florence it all sounds so complicated but glad it sounds relatively positive right now. Hoping they can come home soon. I'm sure that will help alot for everyone concerned.

Thanks for asking Rachel about me. I'm doing OK, by the end of an hr work day, I hurt somewhat and sometimes like today I have to keep a low profile because of some pain and difficulty moving. But all in all I'm doing much better. I was hoping to go back to full time next week but I'm not going to now. Will wait it out another couple weeks and see.

The last report I had on Jordan is they can't get him out of stage one and that if things don't change in the next week some difficult decisions will have to be made. Not really sure what all that means but it is not good.
