    Hi all -

I just finished a blog post tutorial on the fold-over edge finish I used with my latest quilt, Puppy Love. It's a pretty straight-forward edge finish that gives the quilt a nice, clean edge. If interested, you can see the tutorial here.

    Thanks!

The grands had some fun making a few "bunny" recipes. I posted about it here

I also completed Month 3 of 8 with the Quilt As You Go project.

I posted about making a block for the president of our guild here.

I posted the judges comments here. You asked for them so I delivered!

I've been making slow progress on the chickens:

I also shared the photos from the challenge at the guild:

I guess I'd better get back to quilting on those chickens if I plan to finish before it becomes year 11 since I started this project!

            Hi Everyone,
I just finished sewing the label on a new art quilt which I have titled "Steady As They Go." It is based on a photo taken by a friend of her parents while out shopping. They will be married for seventy-two years this coming September. If you would like to see this piece, please visit my blog, A Positive Outlook. There are also some work in progress shots in previous blog posts.

Great quilt I hope your friend enjoys seeing it. 72 years is an awfully long time.

For the label, I put a copy of the shopping photo along with a photo of them on their honeymoon in 1945 with her dad wearing his uniform. My friend is so very blessed to still have both of her parents.

I know I will finish it. Although, it is taking me longer than I had thought it would!

Terry, that chicken quilt is amazing! It's so beautiful. I am impressed that you keep going even when you can't see the forest for the trees!

Terry, loved reading about your ruler work which is very nicely done! What company makes the rulers you used in your month 4 of QAYG? Thanks!

The blood is rushing to my head! :P I really love the quilt of your friend's parents. Thanks also for the info on the product you like for printing fabric.
