PhillippaK, I notice these are not the same size. Not sure if you said you were making two different size quilts or not. All 16 Small Houses will be the same size, 8 #1’s and 8 #2’s. In March we will make 16 more, #3 and #4.

Hi Barbara, All the same size. Must just be the angle of the photograph. Thanks for checking.

Thank you Beth I did get the PDF files and printed on freezer paper in actual size I’m having trouble getting the videos

I just tried again going to learn block of the month BOM 2021 but they still end at December 29, it says I’m logged in so I have no idea what I’m doing wrong, very frustrating
Hello KathKelly - the video's are here - scroll down to the bottom three (BOM 2021 - Color My World - The Basics of Sewing the Blocks / BOM 2021 - Color My World - Working with Freezer Paper / BOM 2021 - Color My World - Cutting the Background Fabric ) and yes they are from 29th December - but they do help immensley

lchapman, If you use tree fabric for background behind the small houses, when we get to the green semi circles you would be putting trees on top of trees Also, the bias tape is the trunks for the tree semi circles. You could use the clouds behind the small houses. And a different cloud or maybe a galaxy fabric behind the tall buildings. HelenW

Guess, It would work to have trees on trees if you had good contrast in the green colors. Say, light green for one fabric and dark green for the other. Or if you are using fabric with actual tree images on it,pick one with small leaves and one wth evergreen trees.

I love the houses and had fun making them. I love text in quilts and thought the positive words in the background fabric were really appropriate for 2021. (i’ve had several questions about what the background fabric is. It is a Windham fabric called “Sew*Hope*Full” by Whistler Studios.)

cycled 6200 miles in 2020, all in the north of England due to covid , otherwise we would have been back off to somewhere in Europe possibly to see friends in Norway. A life long friendship was made on that trip. We still cycle camp but have the assistance of pedelec bicycles - E-bikes but limited to just over 15mph and only work when you peddle. Hoping , after the vaccine that is being rolled out, we will be able to get away to the north of Scotland in June. Over 70's should be vaccinated we have been told by mid February. I have just had my 70th birthday so it should be soon.
layered up the 2019 sizzle today although it was finished in 2019 but other things got in the way.

Have loved seeing everyone’s houses! Amazing all the different directions people have taken. I’m excited today as my wool felt has finally arrived. Loving all the yummy colors and can’t wait to finalize my building color combinations.

I plan to customize houses to reflect the houses my husband and I grew up in along with my siblings homes and our son’s home. The four homes we’ve lived in over the past 38 years will be on the outside circle NSEW.
