Oh, Ritzy, such a roller coaster you are on! Just keep remembering how wonderful it was to hold that gorgeous baby boy! I'm praying for Bob's family, and for Jerry's family.
Jan, great news! I hope it keeps up!
Sharon, you will do fine on the stand. Just fold your hands together in your lap and remember to only answer what they ask. Squeeze your hands together before you answer. That will help you be calmer. You don't have to volunteer anything else. If you just concentrate on that, then you'll be fine.
Dawn, I'm looking forward to hearing Tuesday's news!

Ritzy, it is hard to have negotiate the emotional minefield you have all been on for the last period of time. Loved the photos of your new grandbaby. Further prayers for Bob's family and for Jerry's family.
Sharon - court will go well, I know. You're honesty will come through. I have been the victim in this kind of hearing, and it is an important part of the process, but the process doesn't live or die by one witness account. The truth comes true.
Lots of prayers for Dawn and hubby! I hope the news on Tuesday is as positive as last week's news, and the next step on the journey is just as positive.

We received bad news today for my little nephew (2 years). Harry has Cerebral Palsy, stomach/digestion issues, is hearing impaired and now needs glasses as well. He is unable to eat again, so as of last night they have re-inserted a feeding tube. He needs to put on some weight prior to an MRI on Wednesday to see what is going on. The doctors have said at least one more surgery before Christmas now because of this. The MRI will determine how quickly that needs to occur. My sister-in-law feels like she lives at hospital appointments and this kind of news is difficult to take. I pray they receive the guidance and assistance they need at this time.

sharon, take a deep breath, relax and know that you only need to answer what you know to be the truth

                  UPDATE ON TERRY

Terry (DH) had a CT scan on Monday to look at the spot in his bladder and and look for previous problematic kidney stones. Not only did the CT scan find all of the LARGE stones, but it also found cancer in the lymph nodes that the previous MRI and bone scan were unable to detect. RATS!! So, he is no longer in need of prostate surgery, as the cancer has already metastisized. He has been placed on hormone treatment, and had his first two shots (in the stomach!) yesterday. I understand this is a common treatment for metastisized prostate cancer. If in a month, the PSA number has gone down, we will continue this regime. This will not kill or cure the cancer, just keep it from spreading any further, so I understand. IF it works! If it doesn't, then we will look for other treatments in place of or in addition to the hormone treatment.

Meanwhile we are looking at lithotripsy to break up the stones (one is blocking a kidney and it is beginning to swell). It is a brutal procedure! And, not without side effects. But, very necessary. I'll keep you posted on this.

I am just asking for prayers that we make wise decisions along the way, that the doctors/hospital have the correct knowledge/diagnosis, and that whatever treatment Terry is on, that he tolerates it well and that it is helpful.

I want to thank you all for your prayers, and the "tangible prayers" that I have been receiving! You are my support group, and I love you all.

                  Hugs to all!

I hope Terry doesn't get PMT with the hormone treatment.
Jesting aside, prayers for you both, that you can deal with the worries that all this brings.

Oh yeah! The doctor said he could get hot flashes, mood changes, etc. If this happens, I want to know if I should say, "Oh, you poor thing! I wish there was somthing I could do for you." or "Suck it up, sweetheart. If I went through it, so can you! You gotta keep a sense of humor, or lose your mind, at this point!

They are not 'hot flushes' - they are 'power surges', or so I have been told.
Just watch out for strange cravings ( and hide the chocolate - or maybe not)

Dawn, I pray for wisdom in the decision making, for the skills of all those treating Terry and for strength and peace for you both.
