Wow, Rita, this is so beautiful! The balance among the colors keeps drawing my eyes back to your photos. I think it's the relationship between the yellow ocher and that gorgeous aqua background.
There are so many amazing color stories going on with this quilt, makes me feel as though I am viewing artist galleries!

Andree I made the small version for my sister up to the vine border. Then decided to try full size. This one will go to my grand niece who has the same birthday as me in December so Christmas colours seemed appropriate. Yes Wendy they are sparkly Trees. I don't have time at the moment to be inventive so just sticking with the pattern as is. Thanks for the kind comments.

BTW - I am at the window treatment, and I am wondering if you all use a stabilizer under the embroidery? I'm not too familiar with embroidery, expect for cross-stitch on that special fabric made for it, or a tiny bit on my Debbie Kemball stuff.Comment

Terrie this may help you http://www.urbanthreads.com/tutorials.aspx?t=Basic+Hand+Embroidery+Stitches. I've used iron on interfacing to stabilise and you get a better finish than just fabric.
