Wow I've just missed 3 days and so much is happening. I'm praying for everyone who's posted lately, Rachel, Joyce and Florence great news and answer to our prayers! Glad you had that lovely dinner. You all deserved a nice moment for all you're doing for your parents.

There must be some kind of bug going around cause I just had a 36hr fever break at 4am this morning that made me feel sicker than I've felt in a long, long time. Dizzy too. Came on really sudden at the Walmart on Thursday evening. I was totally fine before it started, no warning. And fine now, altho achy and tired.

Anyway God bless everyone struggling this weekend. We're standing with you all.

Glad you are feeling better Pat. I've had a headache for a week and don't know what's up! Being sick is no fun!
I'm asking for prayers for my dad. He has had the hiccups for a week, and then threw up, and my sister is at a lost as what to do for him. He sleeps all the time and won't cooperate with her. He is 86. She has called the heart doctor last I heard she was still waiting for anwers. But no phone call during the night so all should be ok!
      Thanks
      Joan

Wanted to let you know that I talked to J's mom this morning. I never knew the history of J's problems but it sounds like what Bridget's daughter had. J had reflux and has had several surgeries to correct that. But in the meantime, the reflux damaged her kidneys. Well some of the lastest tests seem to indicate that the reflux is under control so the transplanted kidney won't get damaged. She still has some more tests to go, so she still needs more prayers. Next weekend is a girl scout camping trip and they are going, dialysis machine and all.

Thank you, All, for your prayers for me. I am doing better - thank goodness! I am also scheduled to see my doc for an annual appointment - good to check in with the doc and make sure that things are "normal".

I also had the opportunity to see my Uncle and Aunt this weekend while back in MN at my little brother's wedding. My Uncle is doing well - and is now 2 months past his scare in intensive care.

I gave him a quilt for the chemo chills and recommended the pop it in the dryer approach for a little extra warmth (thanks, Margo, for that tip!)

One more thing to share - while at home over the weekend, I was so thrilled that my parents looked the happiest I have ever seen them. Both my mother and father are enjoying retirement and enjoy their time together. It makes me feel good, as I know they dealt with a lot of struggles over the past 43 years and deserve the enjoyment that they are experiencing now!

Thanks again to all of you that said a prayer for me, dropped me a note, called. Your friendship and kindness is VERY appreciated!

          God is good!

With all the sad stuff that we hear about I thought I would share something that was hopefully going right. My neice Jessica (Scott's Daughter) makes one bad decission after another. I know this isn't quilt related but it is uplifting. Anyway 3 years ago she was diagnosed with uterine cancer and told to have a baby then because she would not be able to have one later. So she and her boyfriend of 3 years agreed to have a baby. Then his dad died and he lost it and left her 4 months pregnant and devestated. He paid for the baby, visited her regularly but just was unable to function for 2 years as an adult. That and he couldn't look at Jessica. His father loved her and (Well the boy says what he did was inexcusable but he did it and now he has to live with it). Well Jessica went on and Saige was born. Jess met i big idiot who seemed like a nice guy and well now has Alieghia. She is beautiful and perfect. Well this guy like I said is an idiot but Saige's Daddy is back and he has been wonderful. They had family photos done the other day. He forgot to get his pic done with Saige. He held Alieghia in ALL of them. Everytime I see this guy he is holding the one that isn't his. I asked him what was up with the photos? He said he didn't notice until it was pointed out and he has tons of photos with Saige. Besides he better start getting some with Alieghia if he is going to be her Daddy too. This guy is getting a quilt for christmas.

God and all of you are gooood! Dave had his surgery this afternoon and the doctor said all went well. There was bone hitting muscle in his shoulder but it's now fixed and he's peacefully sleeping right now with his ice pack/sling thingy (I know -- very technical term there!). Thank you all for keeping him in your prayers!

To all of you in pain, concerned about ur health or the health of those you love, or worried about the trying times in ur life..... know that ur friends here at TQS keep u in their thoughts and prayers. All of this positive energy has to have an affect on us, and it helps to know that others are thinking of us and caring for us.

Everyone is so helpful with praying for others, I would like to request that you say a prayer for my youngest brother (56 years old) who had part of his colon resectioned because of cancer in the colon and they also found he had three small cancerous spots on his liver and one large spot. He will be going through some extreme Chemo to try and take care of the small spots and then possible more surgery for the large spot. Also please recommend and stress to all your familly members the importance of having a colonoscopy. (He had never had a colonoscoy, why I don't know) I would greatly appreciate any prayers for him. We live many miles apart but my heart and thoughts and prayers are always with my brothers and sisters. Thank you everyone in advance. Nan F

Nan, I said a prayer for your brother. I think many people just don't take the time for these tests because they feel fine--the worst part of a colonoscopy is the preparation. That, I could do without.
