I knew I wanted to make a quilt with the word JOY on it and when I saw your Holiday Quilt I knew the border was what I wanted to use around JOY.
I had so much fun making it until I was squaring it up to put the binding on and grabbed an indelible red pen instead of a gel pen. How did I find out it was the wrong pen??? My markings wouldn't iron off. OMG I was so upset. I was able to cut off the markings from three sides but not the bottom. Does anyone know how to remove indelible ink????

Because I work at a middle school, I can't watch the live broadcasts, but enjoy catching up on the weekend while I sew. I'm also working on my 9 patch blocks for this year's BOM and masks for my staff. But I'm beginning to get the stars done. I love the asymmetry of the stars' points. I'm using left overs from my BOM quilt and other scraps. It may not be done by Christmas, but I'm loving this little quilt and really enjoying Alex's encouragement while I sew. Here's pics of my progress, and the holiday masks I'm making

Can anyone tell me how to get 240 inches of VINE cut from an 18" square piece of fabric? I have sewn the blocks, & borders onto the Holiday quilt. Now it is time to put the vine on & I don't know how to cut it... on the diagonal? Thank you for your help! Carmen G

Google How to cut bias strips—there are many videos and tutorials. The pattern says to cut them 1.25” wide

ellenceleste, I love your star with the little bits of gold. So pretty and I really don't like red! But yours is very nice.

I’m having a blast with this quilt, two down and two to go! Other quilts are getting in the way of my progress! I’ll post picture later. Thanks Alex! See you soon, neighbor! Merry Christmas

CarmenG, Here is one way. Hope you aren't looking at this on a phone, it would be too small to see. The website is Radiant Home Studio. HelenW

I decided to add one more border to finish using up my hst's. It's ready to quilt, just decided what color binding to use - most likely a solid green

OH, OH! I just realized that I have enough white to make my sash and setting pieces, but not enough yardage to make the borders. I can think of two options: 1. I make a trip to the border, hmmm.... Maybe an eggshell off white? Not too close to the white, but not too dark either? Any ideas anyone?

Quilt Bob, Love your humor!!! Do you have a picture of what you have so far. It would make it easier to get ideas for suggestions. HelenW
