It would appear that at least one of these marriages didn't last very long at all.

Oh how dreadful! Well obviously this couple in France had not heard that particular bit of news. How grim and sad.

What a tragic and unnecessary loss of a beautiful 30-year-old woman's life! I agree with the article that this story probably won't stop the wedding dress trashing craze, but I certainly know of a much better way to show independence and creativity! How sad! Think I'll go work on my pineapple quilt!

The trashing of wedding dresses that I've seen around here are done months after the wedding. The one I'm most recently
aware of was fifteen months later. The pictures of the bride in the water turned out to be especially elegant. I would
suspect that the dresses could never be cleaned well enough for them to be re-used as wedding dresses and I agree that it
          seems very wasteful.

In late December, I finished my "Pineapple Chunks" ala Gyleen . . .It is made from left over pieces from five different projects.

It was a fun process. When I can post a blog, I'll include a slideshow of this quilt's journey. I just was able to take a full photo of it last night.

What a beautiful quilt, Terry! It is so cohesive that it really doesn't look like it was made from scraps. I love everything about it!

What lovely quilts, I have the blocks finished but have yet to join them together.
Mine is totally made from scraps, seeing all the quilts has spurred me on to finish mine,
the blocks are in a box and I forgot about them.

Terry, your quilt is beautiful, and the ribbon border sets of your piecing perfectly!
