OK Me again. After checking out a couple of the forum pages, I realized that since we have our own playground we can post our activities etc here in our area and not go to the other "member blog" page. Yeah for me! So I solved my own question. I am glad to see so many people here and isn't it great that we recognize each other?

Hello Everyone..........I've been lurking in the old site since it opened and am sad to see it go but glad it's born anew somewhere else and I hope to participate in this one. I've made "friends" that I found fascinating and hope all the old members sign up and stay in touch.... I'm married, have two grown children and two wonderful Grandboys, I'm a traditional quilter. Just getting around to joining the Playground. I'm May in Jersey from Alex's MB, looking forward to catching up with some old quilting pals here.

Learned to quilt in 1999 and it has taken over a big part of my life. Been working on making a quilt for each of my family members and close friends. Since I have 3 married sons and 9 grandkids it's taking me some time but everyone has at least a baby or lap size one. Grand kids are 10 to 27 years old so a few are in need of larger quilts, one is married, two have their own places, another graduates high school this year and, I'll be a great grandmother this summer so a baby quilt is on my list. Have been making baby quilts for extended family, nieces and nephews are all having children and 3 more expected this year. I also make a lot of scrappy charity quilts for my Guild, Heartstrings and a Vet's Group Home group.

Just had a big 75th B-day party and here's a photo of my with most of my grandkids, 2 grandgirls in CA couldn't make it. May

I didn't think I would be joining at this time but after my "last sleep" I thought I better do it before it is too late and I have to hunt and peck for this site on my own. I am traipsing over from Quilts Your Way where my screen name was "quilt garden." I opted to drop that name and go with "grannyagnes" which is the name my grandson dubbed me. When he was about five he wanted to know if my real name was Agnes why he called me Granny. I told him he did it to me. Quilting has been a passion since 1992 with very few short dry spots. Due to my husband's health problems I am in my driest period ever but I need to claw myself back to quilting. Hopefully joining with the rest of the QYW quilters here will do that.

Agnes - Great to see you here! You take all the time you need to deal with your full plate. We will be here and you will be able to find us easy now that you are here at "the playground."

Margo - I have ventured off the playground and starting reading some of the other things in the scrap bag. Would love to someday start my Dear Jane quilt and have gotten some good tips from that thread. So glad I checked it out as I think it will save me a lot of aggravation when I DO start it.

Thanks for the welcomes to the "playground." The sewing is still quite elusive.

Heidi - so good to see you here. I "see" your posts on facebook now and then when I go and check up on my grandkids. Sometimes I think I should de-friend them!

I bet Patrick has really grown - how does he like being the big brother of two little sisters? Adorable kids!

Keep on stitching.....when you have time.
