    Wendy,

Wish I could be there to be your assistant!

I hope you win the youth award at your quilt show!

I'm a long way from my youth.

Rosemary started us on the mug rug route. I've not made any for a year and have really enjoyed making a couple. Good for trying out techniques or a satisfying quick project. After my husband told me off for putting a cup on one he has pronounced them useless what does he know

I have to admit that since I ran out of room to pin them up on a display board, a couple of the later ones have started to be used  But that way I get to look at them regularly

Wish I could find the last 3 I started.....aaaaagggghhhh its bugging me.

Hi Wendy, I've just watched the 2013 quilt show on the link you posted for the British quilt and stitch village....what a great looking show I think it looks more interesting than the National quilt championships at Sandown. It seems to be getting smaller every year, I suppose it's because it's so expensive to rent space.
Hope you have a great time at the show.

 Yes Barb come on over

Actually a few years ago I did an online workshop with my chicken forum. At my patchwork group we were doing a qult where you sew squares together, slice them then turn the pieces 90 degrees and resew. I did it as a mystery quilt and we had a hilarious time. I didn't realise when I started that some had never done patchwork before. They got there but it started some on a real love of fabric and sewing. This is the quilt - my version but we got some stunning results in batik

Love your cushion, Wendy!!! Where's the lap quilt to go with it?

Funny Renata, can you imagine a lap size and all the pieces laid on the floor in order and the cats run in  :S it's long gone since the cats took it over. It was a loopy choice for a mystery quilt for non quilters

I held the mug rug workshop on Thursday with my group and showed all your mug rugs. They were so interested to see all the designs you came up with and all the different finishes. They were much admired, It was so nice to share them .

I showed a number of techniques including machine couching, quilt as you go, wavy quilting with a walking foot and fancy edging using cord, yarn, sari silk, rat tail cord etc., It went fine so I shan't be so anxious another time.
