Thanks Rita for your kind words. Also, thanks to Wendy for sharing the slideshow. I hadn't seen it either.

I've been asked to do a workshop on making a mug rug, is there a way?  It's a chance to show off all the lovely ones you've made me :cheer:

Think I'll give the choice of a pieced or appliqué one and show how to do rat tail cord edging, will that be interesting enough?

Good ideas Wendy. You did such a beautiful mug rug for me with the appliqué and also that lovely edge finish that you do, that would be a good idea too. Good luck with it, I am sure you will be brilliant. :cheer:

Wendy, I want to come to your workshop! Will there be feathers? Yes, be sure to teach your finishing technique with the bias edge.

I loved the slide show. I wish they could show them all. Does anyone have a count of how many were exchanged? They are such beautiful and inspiring works of art.

Thanks Wendy--I hadn't seen that slideshow either. I had a count at one time but then had a computer crash and don't have it anymore. We really did a great job ladies--and it was such fun! Should we do another with a theme: summer fun, Christmas...?

Would love to come down too Wendy, but it is probably a bit far with work the following morning.
You could give a shout out to Lorchan though she is closest (I think)

Wendy, how exciting to do a class on mug rugs. They are such fun.

I don't know who decided to start sharing mug rugs, (I joined late in the game), but I'm so glad we have done it. I love making them and sharing them. And best of all, it has created some amazing friendships. Thank you!

You took the words right off my keyboard, Geneva. I so look forward to making and sharing these little gems. And it was great fun to see the slide show but wished it could have included them all. I'm up for continuing the exchange with any them the majority would like to use. :silly: :cheer:

Remind me where you are? I know it's Peak District, but that's a big area.

Just outside at Belper between Derby and Matlock. Our group is in Wirksworth which is in the Peak District.

There's the Quilt and Stitch show on at Uttoxeter on next day http://www.quiltandstitchvillage.com/ I've entered a couple of quilts which my husband is cursing me for as we're emptying the kitchen into the living room on the sunday when I pick them up  Small show but some good traders.

It would be lovely to see you again, I know you wanted to see the Peak District before you leave

Wouldn't that be nice! Sad to say, I don't think I can make it!
