Thank you, Renata, so glad U like it. Was trying to make a koi fish to go with your oriental decor.

I'm having issues with my ISP right now so I have to wait a bit before I can post to Show and Tell the mug rugs I've received so far--sorry.

ooops ops: ! I got the fish wrong! It is a beautiful koi :P and it does go perfectly with our surroundings (I think DH is going to wrestle me for this mug rug  ) ! Jane, what kind of thread did you use for the applique'? I love the shine it gives off! My first guess is that it might be a Sulky, my second thought a Hemingworth thread but would love to know what it is because I will use it, so perfect!

I updated the show and tell with all my mug rugs both going and coming that weren't already there. Such a nice collection everyone has. I'm putting all mine up on my studio wall...I just love these little jewels.

Love the fish Jane/Renata it's a fabulous pattern, I would assume fused then topstitched? The expression is wonderful

Wendy, I just put your mug rug side-by-side with Jane's and they go together so well! It will be tea-time with the fishies and the Louies!

                  Renata,
Thread is Robison-Anton #2586, 14kt Gold is the name.

The pattern is from a friend who designs & sells quilt greeting card patterns (KLM Trade Company). I did enlarge the fish and changed it from blue to gold .

I've been very remiss, but am now getting back with the program. I received this lovely mug rug from Renata back in April while I was still nursing my mother. Needless to say, it really brightened my day! It was the height of cherry blossom season in DC, so Renata shared a bloom with me:

                      And here is a close-up:

I've also gotten started on my mug rugs and have one finished for Renata. It will go in the mail this week.

                      Thanks!!

                      Nancy

This wasn't technically a mug rug, but I know you all will be pleased to see the little quilt I got from Rita after my mother passed away:

Aren't the flowers just beautiful? And I just love the look of the straight line quilting in the background. I definitely need to do more of that myself!!

                        Thanks again, Rita!

Very pretty Nancy, and so very thoughtful of Rita. Flowers of any kind are wonderful.

Jane that is such a pretty mug rug you made for Renata. Such beautiful stitching and a fabulous fish. I agree with Renata, the thread is so beautiful.

Nancy that is a beautiful mug rug you got from Renata. The stitching is so perfect Renata and the blossom so pretty. Did you do double blanket stitch?

Nancy I had to laugh when I saw the picture of the mug rug I sent you because I just realized that I forgot to do the embroidered tendrils in the centre of the pink/purple flower. ops:
