Happy Birthday, Renata! Have a great day. You should tell us how you are celebrating.

Maureen, My label will come after Christmas.

Thank you all for the good wishes! Lois, just got back from an outing and lunch with my husband and he is preparing a nice dinner for this evening. The outdoor temperature here went up from 30 degrees this morning to sunshine and a whopping 41 degrees this afternoon. I was nice to be outdoors, but I will probably spend the afternoon catching up on the first week of Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt (I did finish week two so I'm ready for week three on Friday).

Lorra, as soon as I can find a place to hang the quilt you asked for a picture of, I'll post it. In the meantime, it is on loan for the Christmas holidays from my sister's collection of holiday quilts. She made the quilt--the pattern is called Lost Socks, by Teri Christopherson. I noticed that the pattern is still available online and if you can't wait for me to post a picture, if you google "Lost Socks quilt pattern" you will find plenty of pictures of the quilt.

Rita, I thought long and hard about saving all those little triangles, but I finally decided not to. They are just SO SMALL!! I might use them to stuff something, but I don't think I'm going to be sewing them together to make teeny tiny squares!

I know Carole you are right, but they will finish at 1" and that's the size of the baskets in Sue Garman's Ruffled Roses quilt so I just couldn't bring myself to throw them out. I might convert them into pinwheels and use them as cornerstones or something. I reckon there will be 400 HSTs.(But don't quote me on that because my maths are terrible.) I though I had to do 200 of the chevrons and I only had to do 100, which was a relief as I have to go away for a couple of days and would not have had time to do more. Another time and I would probably throw them out - who knows I still may, but at least I have the option.

I'm going to have to really work to get my 100 chevrons done before Friday. I think I've finished 60 of them. There's just too much else going on and it's hard to find time to sew! I keep getting interrupted (and I live alone!!) I had my daughter visiting over Thanksgiving, and my son and grandchildren will be here a few days before Christmas, and at my age, it takes me a while to clean up after one visit and prepare for another!

Progress report. Christmas project done. My friend Sigrid and I made the Comunion Table Cloth. Sigrid is a TQS member but has not posted anything here or on her profile. She sometimes lurks here but since she works full time she has little time to be a lounge lizard. I need to take some close-ups but I haven't done that yet.

The sanctuary has been newly renovated. The communion table was constructed by my neice's husband.
                        And now….
I am behind but I am started.

Beautiful altar cloth, Lois--you and your friend made something very special to celebrate Christmas at your church this year. And I see you've got a great start on your Celtic Solstice--great stash!

Thanks folks. I've been wanting to do this project for years. I am so happy I found someone who wanted to do it with me.
