I've been away for one day... missed three pages...then...

I just wrote a funny, significant, meaningful, inspirational, hilarious, congratulatory, encouraging, share-my-heart, artsy, motivational, personal to each LL (lounge lizard), and otherwise stellar post, and somehow lost it.
(the post, not my mind  or my humility ops: !)

Well, I'll join in with any party and just need to learn how to press 'submit' when it's appropriate. TQS airlines? Hmmm....too cool 8)

Oh! I remember something...I did say that I can bring Winnie the Pooh because he`s 100% Canadian.

 :? :? :? Winnie the Pooh is Canadian? Enlighten us?

As far as I ever understood it 100 Acre Wood is close to Tunbridge Wells and the Milnes lived just up the road from where my godmother lived in the 70's (I even got to play Pooh sticks on 'Pooh Sticks Bridge' as a child)

Oh the things you learnon this forum!

Do a little more research, and you`ll see - Winnie the Pooh is Canadian, albeit an ex-pat!

Terrie thanks for that I didn't know about the origins of the original Winnie bear and the A.A. Milne connection - being a bear of very little brain myself! I got to know Winnie the Pooh as an adult - reading the stories to my children and I still quote regularly from Pooh Bear - I mean 'nobody could be uncheered by a balloon'.

Wendy, just 10 more minutes!

I was so thrilled to find Lotti on the plane. It's been packed with all of you but a lot of fun, was that Marilyn's tipple we were drinking or limoncello. Limbania wait until you see the piñata Rosemary knocked up during the journey. :P

Non, non, non Marilyn, we need the bear so we can have a roaring and beary good time, and because I can't stand the taste of whiskey. I tried that once when I was 16 trying to show off that I could 'drink like a man', ( I also smoked a whole cigar in one shot, under a dare) and will never live down that experience or the memories of the aftermath. Oh dear, our high school reunion is this coming May. I hope those who remember won't be there! I am, however, known to take a glass of wine from time to time . or two. 8) Although Dr. says no since the transplant! But one has to live a little, non? Maybe I won't be at the reunion because I'll be at Limbania's with my Pooh bear and my glass of wine! NOT whiskey
An added plus, since Pooh is so small, I can hold him on my lap, and don't have to pay a seat for him.

Of course, no one else on this forum has never done anything foolish when they were 16?

Moi? Jamais! I was a prefect little Irish colleen running around the fields in my bare feet cutting the sod and gathering carrageen moss from the shores in my basket with my donkey. I didn't have anything to do with boys or booze or cigarettes or any other substances.

Thanks for those links, Terrie. As you say, he was a Canadian ex-pat.

As for whisky, I am not keen on it either, but I love blackberry whisky (steep blackberries in whisky & a bit of sugar and try to leave alone for at least a couple of months - the longer the better)

I am also thrilled that Lotti is on the plane too and in charge of the chocolate supplies

Hey Rita, how do you cut sod with bare feet?

I was a good girl at 16 - wasn't interested in boys or cigarettes, but I went up to the big bad city when I was 17 and had one or two run-ins with booze.....
