      This made me smile!

“Live life fully while you’re here. Experience everything. Take care of yourself and your friends. Have fun, be crazy, be weird. Go out and screw up! You’re going to anyway, so you might as well enjoy the process. Take the opportunity to learn from your mistakes: find the cause of your problem and eliminate it. Don’t try to be perfect; just be an excellent example of being human.” - Anthony Robbins

Rosemary, my good friend Stephanie did a beautiful framed cross stitch: "Housework is a Bummer". Perhaps we could put the two together as a set??? That reminds me, maybe it's time to dust off my sign: "My house was clean last week - sorry you missed it!"

My group, H&D Quilters, had our 21st anniversary Celebration Day yesterday (2nd March). As I mentioned before we invited three other groups as well as our members. We had hung quilts from 1992 to the present day. We had a fat ¼ game at the start to break the ice, which was hilarious and silly. We supplied lunch, a speaker, Elizabeth J Wall who was absolutely brilliant, a raffle, Charity Quilt raffle and a trader plus we had a small sales table. I had mixed all the groups up so everyone was meeting new people. Quilters always talk to each other.

We had lunch in two sittings, while one was eating the other group was taken to the church to see famous embroidery panels by Hannah Frew Paterson, beautiful stained glass windows, old and recently commissioned, other etched glass windows and other textiles. We had the bells ringing for us and one of the elders gave a talk. A beautiful church where everyone had a great time.

After the speaker we had show & tell and then a 21st birthday cake that had a photo of the charity quilt after the refreshments everyone made their way home, some of the visitors had a 2 ½ to 3 hour drive in front of them. I am pleased to say, from the feedback, everyone had a very enjoyable day.
