Is anyone reducing the size of the quilt?

I would like to make the quilt smaller. I reduced the pattern to 78% and think the quilt will be around 55” square. I heard what Barbara said about this. I’d like to try it and would like to connect with anyone else who is trying to reduce the quilt also. I wondered if the pieces would be too small. I made one small house at reduced size and it is great. I have reduced a pineapple pattern with success so am optimistic that this will work. Thank you!

MaryAnne 519, Go to BOM 2021 and find the topic Local Modifications. There are a number of people making it smaller. It is at your own risk on whether it all works out or not.
I am having fun doing about 60% but decided to do applique instead of paper piecing. HelenW

Maryanne - I too am doing 78%. Like Helen said, we are doing this at our own risk especially since the pattern is curved. I understand I may have to make adjustments as I go. Look up the topic she mentioned. It has some good information. The biggie for me is to make the seam allowances 1/4 inch when trimming the houses.
