Here is an update on Dalton. He had another surgery today for a skin graft on his right leg. They are thinking that this will be his last inpatient surgery. It sounds like all went well. I heard that there was a food run to Long John Silver at his request. Greg and I visited them yesterday and he seemed real positive about today. Thank you all for all of your prayers for this young couple. Also, Dalton celebrated his 21st birthday on Sunday with a temporary release from the hospital and barbeque at Emily's hotel room and a beer.

I am remembering all the TQS requests in my prayers. Dalton is certainly an inspiration to us all, as are his family and loved ones who are there to support and love him.

I live alone, and know my brothers and cousin, keep me in their prayers. I always felt that sharing awful things with others was sort of "not right." I've changed my mind. Prayer is a powerful thing, and I no longer think people will think less of me, or think I am being a downer because I am discussing my illness.

I have bladder cancer. I have been fighting it for 8 years. The first five years it kept recurring and my Urologist gave up and sent my case to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. MD Anderson seems to work miracles all the time. My surgeon thought outside the box and came up with a procedure to removed the tumor while leaving my bladder slightly smaller, but intact. I have been undergoing treatments on a quarterly basis for three years now. After my last checkup, they decided my treatments could be cut back to only twice a year. They say that if everything keeps going well, I could be declared "in remission" after three more years. I don't like the term "remission". "Cured" sounds more friendly.

I love the quilting world and now I'm asking for your love in return. Please add me to your prayer lists. Three more years will not seem that long knowing that I no longer carry my burden alone. Knowing there are many willing to share their love through prayer is most comforting.

Thanks and bless all of you. Even though I have only met a few of you personally out there in TQS world, I still love all of you.
