Ritzy, if he likes to read, does he have a Kindle? My DH reads every free moment he has. I download the books for him and so far he likes what I pick. It is usually a mystery/suspense or western. My DH does not watch sports either.

Well, I'm delighted to see things moving along. Loren will be home today, and he sounds like my hubby. Not a good patient as gets bored. I swear Don's favorite passtime is pacing while on phone.

Books, games on ipad, you could sit on the side of the bed and read to him (tee hee), old WW2 movies, I'm sure you'll get lots of ideas.

Loren, you be good to our Ritzy!

Would he consider cross stitch? There are numerous masculine cross stitch designs.

The dear boy only reads his magazines. He does watch a lot of movies. I tried to get him interested in audio books but haven't succeeded. He just walked into my studio to see what kind of trouble he can get into...big sigh. Thank God he is still here to be bored.

Just today, - right now- I have ventured back onto TQS forum and see Ritzy has a need. I will pray for you, dear sister. Funny...I just wrote you an email. God has put you and your hubby on my heart. He is faithful, you will get through this. You are not alone.
              Peace.

Sorry I can't read back 8 months worth of requests, but I do feel "I'm Back." So, thanks to all encouragers and pray-ers!

Susan--he does have a Kindle but he only tolerates word games. I will have to see if I can get on my Android and check out Words with Friends. I, unlike Loren, love word games. Actually, I like all kinds of competitive activities which is why I think I quilt.

Ritzy--so happy to hear that Loren's surgery is over and went well. Will continue to pray for a speedy recovery and that he discovers new interests that will help the weeks pass quickly.

Terrie--it is so good to see your smiling face on the forum again. Happy you are feeling better.

Ritzy, did I just read on another thread that "Loren was out working on a car?" Was that before his surgery, or is he disobeying doctor's orders? I know, it's hard to keep a good man down, or so they say!

Terrie, it's wonderful to see your beautiful face again! Love the new profile picture!

No Dawn--he was out vacuuming his shop. He definitely was not obeying orders--no pushing, pulling, or lifting! I was out there pretty quickly to let him know that I caught him and he needed to stop. Goes back tomorrow for a check-up to make sure his "bionic power" is working correctly. He is hoping he will be able to drive again.

Wonder how he could figure that he could vacuum without pushing or pulling? (the vacuum?) But maybe has has one of those robot ones? I like the idea of teaching him to sew on bindings. Debbie Kemball is in our guild and her hubby sews on her bindings. She just won a ribbon (or two) and it's the quilt her hubby did the binding on.

Dawn - nice to see you too!

Lois - hope your arm is mending right and well.

                                Congratulations, Pam - Gram.
