Just an update on our DGD's Daddy who has tongue cancer. He is receiving both radiation and chemo therapy. Because the areas being radiated are external he has developed lesions in those areas which make it difficult for him to eat or talk. And the chemo makes him totally exhausted so he stays in bed or sleeps for days afterwards. So much so that he missed DGD's final drama camp performance. This is her last year as she is now too "old" for drama camp (at 15) TOO OLD!!!!! LOL (wait until she is my age) Anyway we were in Chicago but did not get to see DGD's Dad, Frank because of his treatments and normally we have one or two visits. Understand but it is difficult not to be able to see someone you love. Did see a bunch of his cousins and found out that they do not see him or hear from him either. Guess he is just isolating himself from almost everyone. So please keep our darling granddaughter, Isabelle and her wonderful Daddy, Frank in your prayers. And if you have a little one left over, pray for DH and me as we need patience and understanding now. We are "old" - why Dear Lord are you allowing the young ones to have these problems and not us. Still I know that God is Good, All the Time, All the time, God is Good. Prayers to Limbiana and everyone else on the list, Hugs, Ann (back in Minneapolis)

Hi there. Ann, Lubiana, and all...am praying for you. My oldest son Ken (he's 41) was admitted to the hospital yesterday with an inflamed optic nerve. They have to administer his treatment by IV and so he has to stay there until the swelling goes down. He's in good spirits, is worried about his work, and asked for his computer and his Kindle. Apparently it's ok for him to read. The problem is they don't know what caused it. There are several things they think may be an underlying cause--the top two candidates appear to be possible lyme disease and possible multiple sclerosis. But it could several other things too. In any event, please pray for him and for his wife Beth (Orinebula) and his 10 year old son Kevin. We all believe in the power of prayer and God's love for us, but it really helps to have prayer warriors out there on your side too.

just got an e mail from DD, Frank (ex son in law) went to the hospital last night with acute pain in the neck and throat and is in ICU. Alice and Isabelle were out of town but should be back tomorrow and will check in. He was not having any visitors today anyway. LIfe goes on in the fast or slow lane but some times it is almost too much. But again I say God is Good All the Time All the time God is Good so keeping the faith here in Minneapolis MN, Ann

Oh, BJ, I'm sorry to hear about your son! I pray the actual cause will turn out to be something much more benign!
Ann, I'm saying prayers for Frank and your family.
Also saying prayers for Limbania and others who can use it.

Sending prayers your way, BJ. I know it's been a terrible summer for ticks and Lyme disease in the northeast this summer. I know the treatment for that is usually pretty successful. Let's hope for the best.

Thank you all for your prayers for Ken. It looks like he may be able to go home tonight. Beth told me he is looking much better already. We still don't know what caused this and may not for a while. He's such a dependable guy and the whole family and lots of people at his work rely on him. I'm not sure he's even aware of this. Beth is a strong and wonderful woman and it is clear she will make sure he behaves.
