Well said, Karen. I read the prayer list here and at church, and watch the evening news, and remember how incredibly blessed I am. Every day of good health is such a gift.

Ditto!! I'm continuing my prayers for all mentioned, and all others who could use them.

I am asking for prayers for my daughter, Mattie. If you follow my tqs blog you probably know the whole story but if not, it's too long to post here. She has been very depressed on and off for the last few months and is not eating or sleeping. I was unaware of this but apparently she had gotten back together with the no-good boyfriend. (she shares very little with me). Anyway, she came home last night sobbing. She actually let me hold her while she sobbed. When she got hold o herself long enough to tell me what was wrong, the first words out of her mouth were,"I think I need help". She then told me (some) of what's going on. I agreed that she needs some help. Then she said she didn't want a counselor, she wants to move to Georgia where her cousins are and get a fresh start. Long story (somewhat) short(er), she went and met with Andrew this morning, suppposedly to get something back of hers that he had, and she came home more confused than ever. She told me that now she isn't sure that she wants to go to Ga. and that she has " a lot to sort out". I told her that since she wasn't comfortable talking to me about this, that she should go ahead and see a counselor. She did agree to that and I have called one and left a voicemail but she hasn't called me back yet.
She is not a battered woman but it's almost like she has that syndrome. She just can't break away from him and stay away from him. And it's not just that we don't care for him - he really is trouble in every way. And I think in her head she knows that.
Please pray that she will be open to the Holy Spirit's leading as well as open to the counselling and that she will come to her senses. I am okay with her going to Georgia or anywhere that God wants her to be. Although I've never been a fan of running from your problems, I think in this case that maybe it is what she needs. I don't pretend to know what she needs. That's why I covet your prayers. Thank you in advance.

Kalynn, I'm praying for Mattie to hear the still small voice of the Lord speaking to her, and for you and your husband to have wisdom as you help her.

Kalynn, admitting that she needs help is an important step for Mattie. I am praying for her and you as you walk beside her through this very difficult time for you all.

More prayers from Texas. Kaylynn, you are wise in knowing you don't have the answer and in helping her find someone to talk to! Hard for all of you.
