Who me? make up words.... The english language is already replete with a fantasmagorically large surd of spectacular words, that making up more would almost bring on a surfeit.

(surd - a quantity that cannot be expressed by rational numbers. Found that one by accident double checking the spelling of surfeit, would probably be useful for describing our fabric collections/stashes. )

Having different kind of flashes here. I always thought cack-handed had come from the Irish because the first part of the word although spelt 'caic' in Irish means S..T! So thank you Rosemary for putting that right in my head. Looks like we are all still alive and kicking.

How's everybody's panic Christmas shopping going? The roads here are insane with people either dead at the wheel or swerving to take the exits they were not paying enough attention to. I think most left their brains at home. Glad to be safe within the bosom of my family for the rest of the evening after a stressful trip to my parents. And now the time has come, I can procrastinate no longer, I must think about putting up some Christmas decorations. (That's why I am on the computer  ) I used to love Christmas decorating so much but now I resent the amount of time it takes. The family have been warned that I will take no prisoners if there is any slacking. Bah Humbug!
