Excellent news Rita, just takes thinking sideways a bit. Now don't forget to take the foot pedal off if you decide to use it as a bath mat

What a great idea, Rita! and a pretty one, besides being comfortable, at that! Glad you got it resolved. I have one of those mats in the bathroom... I'm going to test it out for comfort!

Renata, make sure to tell your DH the bath mat is no longer there if you take it away - we wouldn't want him to slip.

Thanks, Rita! I think I will put it back in the bathroom and go buy me a new one! Would not want him to slip, especially since he's recovering from getting one new bionic eye...

Is that so he can keep a good eye on you Renata?

Although on occasion you will probably hope he does a 'Nelson' - particularly after a trip to your LQS

   ... or even a reverse half nelson   but since we both engaged in judo many moons ago, it's more likely that he'll try osotogari...

I was thinking more along the lines of Admiral Nelson, putting the telescope to his blind eye, rather than wrestling

Are you revealing your bedroom secrets Renata :?:   Or does he just use o soto gari to get you to get your BOM off the bed?

I suppose there's a double entendre all the way around, Rosemary and Rita! Oh, Rosemary, how could I be departing so drastically from my nautical roots? Ahimè...

Speaking of BOMs, though... remember Sedona Star? I really got far behind because I could not imagine putting it on my bed, so I'm torn about continuing it... it's now hanging over the rail in the hallway between the two master bedrooms... overlooking the staircase because I could not make up my mind whethere to continue... the only place it could go, finished, would be on a bed. If I left it round and stopped before making the corners, it could be a table topper for the large rosewood dining room table for Chinese New Year, especially since it would basically end with large embroidered Chinese good luck bats in each rhomboid. I know I really need to work on it... ops:

While shopping for the last few items for dinner tomorrow, I spotted a silicone pot holder/trivet. It is a hexagon shape and has a honey comb look to it. I tried it as soon as I got home and it works great to keep the pedal in place. I picked the brightest color, neon green, in case it does get pushed back under the table too far.  Of course, I traced the large hexagon first in case I ever want to use it for a template.
