Annis, I would consider taking out 10, 13, and 16 and see how that flows. 6 and 15 look very similar on my screen, so leave in whichever one of those you love the most. I like the pattern on 15. Just a thought!

Thanks for your help. The red is actually pink with purple accents and the darks are not as dark as they appear in the photo. I think I will spread the background fabric out and separate the block fabrics on top of it to get a more accurate picture. My goal again this year is not to purchase any new fabric except for what I need to finish projects that are already started or in the plans to be started soon. That background fabric was an exception. I purchased an extra yard because cream batiks are hard to find. Robin, it sounds like you've added too many things to your plate since retiring. It's all a matter of priorities. What's hard is we want everything to be a priority. Happy New Year to all!

This isn't a new resolution, but the continuation of a plan in progress.
        1. Finish edge to edge quilting of a Carol Doak quilt completed a year or so ago. It's about 1/3 done.

        2. Finish quilting, free motion on domestic machine, a mystery quilt from a newsgroup. This quilting is also about 1/3 done.

        3. Finish the Bonnie Hunter Grand Illusion mystery quilt which is now in progress.

        4. Don't start any new projects until these are done!!!!

Of course, I have UFO's, and still working on them from last year. I'd like to try the BOM this year with TQS - all from my stash.

And that is another resolution, actually the most serious one - do not buy any more fabric unless all my UFO's are finished. Yikes! That's a tough one, but I am determined. I will buy new tools, rulers Olfa blades etc, but not fabric.

However, I will accept donations of fabric at any time. It's just I don't want to buy anymore. For now.

Are you suggesting a stash relocation programme for this year for anyone that needs a particular fabric to finish ufo's but doesn't want to buy anything?

                      Rosemary - that's a brilliant idea - SRP - Stash Relocation Programme!
Put my name on the top of the list!

BTW a few local gals got together and had a 'garage sale' of fabric and quilt related things. They succeeded in dwindling their stash - I guess so they could buy more, or just to be able to see the floors in their homes! It was very successful.

Good for you, Clara. I'm behind you all the way! You could try writing too, as you're very good at expressing yourself, at least on here.

I'm in charge of our guild's 2015 challenge/contest "UFOs to IFFIs" and I'm sure I have at least a dozen quilts ranging from unfinished small class projects to lap quilts and wall hangings that I can put on my list. This reminds me that I need to start gathering them all up for easy access and prioritizing. I will also try to finish this year's class projects as I go along. And I will reduce the number of workshops I sign up for. I wish for us all the gift of time to quilt! All the best to all of you.
Kath (hmm. I'll have to try to fix my profile picture too.)

Thank you Terrie. Sometimes the tongue works well, other times it's broke. We had a good day today.

I want to wish all my TQS Buddies a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Hubby and I are going to curl up on the couch and watch a movie alone. Munchkins are spending the night at a friends house. Bonus surprise. So, I'm outta here.

Here's to much talking and sharing about quilts in 2015.

                                WOO HOO!!!! :woohoo:
