I want to complete a Quilt of Valor. I have enough fabric and have several patterns in mind - have to choose one and start it.

I have all the patches pieced for the 2010 TQS Star Crazy BOM. I would love to finish that. I have Celtic Solstice waiting for borders and to be quilted. I have a Pineapple Trash to Treasures top waiting to be quilted and I want to start more. I have a DGS who will have his First Holy Communion this spring and I've got to start that soon. Wouldn't you know I have obligations for more than half the month of January that will keep me away from my sewing machine. Wish me luck/focus!

I need to work harder at taking things off my list instead of adding to it. I'm almost finished piecing bed runner #10 using UFO's, practice blocks, and demo blocks. I'm hoping to complete 8 more soon. Then they all have to be quilted and bound. I have several special quilts to make for family and friends. What I really want to do is quilt my 2011 BOM's and Kaleidoscope quilt from a workshop with Paula Nadelstern. These need to be show worthy so I'm waiting until other more important things are finished first. I always enjoy seeing everyone's finished projects.

I really enjoyed Patsy Thompson's video on using rulers on the daily blog. That's another resolution for me - to get better using rulers on both my domestic and HQ Platinum 16 and be pleased with the end results on the quilts I'm going to finish..

I want to become better at machine quilting...something I have tried to perfect, but never put the full effort into...I also have 2 quilts that I must complete...no more excuses, I have got to do these!

              Trash to treasure top
              2014 BOM
Christmas houses........that will be for next year .....hopefully
At the moment I'm practising FMQ on some orphan blocks and will then make them into some sort of quilt.
The trouble is ...life gets in the way, I'm chasing dust bunnies, washing, ironing, getting food ready and so it goes on.
Maybe this afternoon I can actually do some sewing.

I want to quilt several BOM's. 2014 and 2013 will be completely pieced, a couple of others have enough done so just need finishing. I am not going to start another one for at least a year. That's the resolution, ha! and resolutions are easily broken.

It's a nice relief for me to see that so many others have a lot of UFOs!

2015 - Where to start. That should give you a hint.

I committed to my Mom that we would get together, the first weekend of each month and work on a project together. Doesn't have to be the same one, but just sewing and teaching quilting together. We did set dates this Christmas and have a plan.

I have about 20 plus strip quilt tops that are pieced and ready to quilt. I did these with my last 2 years of fighting depression. The plan was to use these to practice quilting techniques like feathers and creative backgrounds on. Give them away. The pile is pretty high.

I want to create a piece to enter into Houston this year. Soft goal, but definately worth a try. Hubby is even encouraging me.

                    Just a few things. :woohoo:

                        2015 Resolutions:
                        1. Finish quilting the new lap quilt I made for my husband. He likes to watch the birds through the big picture window while watching sports on TV, so I made him a bird quilt. He said it was too small. He wanted one that goes from his chin and wraps up his toes. So I took a tape measurer and made a second lap quilt to his specifications. It is a twin-sized! I designed this one on EQ with guy colors and pictures, and backed it in flannel. It is basted and ready to quilt.
                        2. Make two Judy Neimeyer Bali Wedding Ring Star quilts. One for my daughter and another for me. I got the crazy idea to make both together.
                        3. Finish a Kaffe Fassett quilt I started last year. I love Kaffe fabrics. Picture attached is how it hopefully will look when finished. I have the stripe strips cut and sewn into new fabric. That's all.
                        4. Finish one of my two English paper piecing projects.
                        5. Two Edyta Sitar quilts. I really like her patterns.
                        6. Learn to use Photoshop and Illustrator.
                        7. Master Electric Quilt 7.
                        8. Make a Procion dye-painted quilt.
9 and 10. NOT buy any more fabric in 2015!!! unless I need it to finish a project I already have most of the fabric for. (Not sure how long I will be able to keep this one.)

I forgot to add this resolution, I'm going to try to use up some of my ever expanding fabric collection. I have such imaginative ideas when I purchase fabric (I think that I am not alone in that), I hope that I can use it all up in my lifetime! :cheer:

I have only one quilty resolution for 2015: to do at least 15 minutes every day. If it's more, great, but it won't be less.
