I am happy to hear about your clean bill of health. I have taken care of several CA patients. It is heart wrenching. I have some good news too... I finally tracked down my Doctor. His partners stole his computers, turned off his phones and were telling all of his patients that he was no longer in the area practicing medicine. Nice I know. Meanwhile I am out of all my meds. So I went to his old office and I was going to tell his partners to write the refills. Well guess who was there.... My DOCTOR!!! He is now sueing his former partners for theft and defimation of character, and I think it is a federal offense because they took his patients files. Either way there are issues there.

      Rachel,
You're right. The HPAA(?)regulations cover that big time. They may lose their licenses to practice medicine.

The more I think about this the more angry I become. I told this Doctor's receptionist/nurse that I was in pain and ill. That I had several issues that needed medical attention a.s.a.p. Her response was " I wish I could be more help but he left no forwarding information. If it gets too bad you can always go to the emergency room." I want to call this woman and find out where her heart is. I feel she should be held accountable. I had a patient who went 2 days without her blood pressure meds and had a stroke. Thank God I suffer from very low blood pressure. Any I started a new quilt today. Hopefully the topper will be done for Mothers day. It is for my mom and I will try to post it on my site as soon as I figure out what I am doing wrong. (I really miss my old computer).

I don't remember who suggested it to me for the CTS but I did try resting my arm and hand on a pillow. It really did help! Thank you whoever it was. I have an appointment with an ortho. dr. in April for a recheck on my knees. So far that crappy stuff he shot into both knees for the arthritus is still helping some. I'll ask him about the corpal tunnel then. I wasn't sure whether to go to an ortho or nuroligst for this. (Boy I know I can't spell at all, sorry) Thanks for all the suggestions.

Carpal tunnel is not to be ignored. If you wait long enough, you can get permanent nerve damage. When I needed to have it fixed, I asked around among nurses and found out who was the best hand surgeon in our town. Nurses always know who the best docs are.

A friend of mine did just that-she waited until she couldn't use her thumbs anymore. She had the surgery 2 years ago, and has not recovered the full use of both thumbs. The doctors told her she's got permanent nerve damage.

That is so sad. I really hope that all our members here that are having carpal tunnel issues will get them fixed before they get permanent damage.

                  Hi
So I went to the eye dr. last week. I knew I was having trouble, but I figured it was just my glasses needed to be changed. They needed to be changed, but I have another problem, I have the very start of cataracts.
Dr wont do anything now, when they get bad they will deal with it.
I wish he hadn't told me, now anytime I have trouble threading a needle etc, I think it is that!
In the scheme of things, this isn't a big deal,it will be annoying, but I"ll just keep muddling along!

                    Hi Roni,
I've got floaters in my right eye. Makes doing any close work interesting

That threading the needle issue is the pits. It's too bad you have to wait til the cataract ripens before you have the surgery. That's one of those, "it has to get worse before it gets better" situations. Hang in there, Roni

Eileenkny, do you have light blue eyes or actually blue eyes in general. If you have gone to an eye specialist and they say you will just have to get use to the floaters. DO NOT listen to them!!! Ask for a referal to a neuro- optomologist. My mother suffered for years with this ailment. It wasn't until my son was diagnosed with a bulging optic nerve and I was giving a medical history about my family that a Doctor looked at her. She has what is called Blonde-eyes. Common to like Northern Europeans descendents. It is normally not an issue. However, it makes diagnosing things like a flap in the retina difficult to see. The most simplest ailments can be missed because the eye pigment is so light. This retina flap will trap the floaters making it almost impossible to see. The Nuero-Opt. my mom seen in NY was Dr. Nora Lincoff. (it might not be spelled right, she is out of Buffalo General) Good Luck Rachel

So, were they able to get rid of the floaters? I've always had them, but they seem to be getting worse in the last couple of years.

By floaters do you all mean those funny blurry dots that float around in your vision. I don't mean to sound silly, but I have had those all my life and never thought anything of them, although recently I have noticed them getting far more frequent and worse. I always have thought they were like bubbles in my tears on the surface of my eye. I am blonde haired and very light blue eyed with German and Irish ancestery, so is this something I should be getting checked??

I have been having fluid leakage from my eyes bad the last two weeks, a year ago my eye dr. told me I was boarder line Glucomma,(sp).
Now,I'm wondering if the weather has set this off more so these last two weeks. It's pretty bother some. It's more my right eye then the left but in both eyes. this sounds funny but my right eye feels heavier. I'm constantly having to dry the right corner of my right eye more from the leakage than the left eye but both. It's like having a bad cold in your eyes but I know it's not that but I thought maybe weather change could affect this. I can't see anything by looking at my eyes. I need new eye glasses this I know. I have always had very watery eyes, if I yawn water just flows. Not everyone is like this when they yawn. I think I may have passed the boarder line stage. My Uncle has Glucomma(SP),it's heriditary. He just uses special eye drops.I'll let you guys know if it's the glucomma (sp) or not. Soon as I get to eye Dr. which will be soon.
(I'm sorry to hear others are having eye problems too)

There are a host of problems that all of you could be describing. First never just settle with what the gut who hands out the glasses says. Always go to a specialist. Floaters although common should always be checked out and kept track of. Especially if they get worse. Also you should be checked for diabetes and sinus polyps (sp). Especially for running tearducts. there could be other issues at hand. If one Dr. can't or Won't give you an answer get another oppinion. Another avenue to check out is an allergist. Does this condition get worse in the summer or fall. For example did you know if you suffer from horrible allergies (from pollen especially) if you eat honey made by the those particular contributers of pollen. It will aid in your tolerence of that pollen. Just a thoght about your running eyes. is there an allergen in your house maybe? Perhaps one that you may not have even thought of. Maybe you are ingesting something you are allergic to. I know it sounds strange but don't rule it out. I have seen food allergies make a kid act like he was on speed and same kid was allergic to wheat and he acted like he had just smoked a joint. Hope I helped Rachel
