Thanks for the welcome. I am assuming that the 1 o'clock meeting time is during Festival, is that right? I am still trying to work out with my sister what day we are going to Festival. We have a little issue in that Thursday is my nephew's Birthday and Friday is Halloween and he wants us to go trick or treating with him. We don't want our time cut short at Festival, but he comes first to all of us and thinks that we are all there for his birthday. That's what happens when you are the only grandchild, you get spoiled be everyone...
We will probably go down for all 3 days of Market as that is why I am actually getting to go to Houston. I am starting my trip tomorrow as I am driving to FL to get my Mom then on to Houston. DH gets to man the fort while I am gone. Not sure if I will get the name tag done since I will be at Moms, but I am taking my sewing machine so there is a chance.

Hey Angela. Take the pressure off! I printed mine last year and it's still here hanging to be used this year. Ricky and Alex said last year it didn't matter how we made it and printing was OK! I'm for easy.

I finally have all my plans made and can say for sure that I am coming to Houston
.....I have never been before and am so excited! I'll be there from Wednesday AM until Sunday PM. I can't wait to meet all of you that I haven't me before and then to see the ones again that I've already met. I know we'll have a great time.

It is a BANNER YEAR Lynn....I've never traveled very many places in my lifetime, so this year has been one of the most special of my life. And Houston was not planned....it just happened....and so that makes it even more exciting. See you soon!

One thing to consider while at the Festival is participating in is the Tiera Parade - generally noon on Saturday (I think). There is an online art quilters group that put the parade together a few years ago and I think it happens every year. You can find a little info about the parade in the Megan Cox quilters reference book (hopefully I am not mixing up authors!). My daughter and I participated in the parade a few years ago - lots of fun! It's not quite Halloween, but it is fun and a little dress-up. So make a homemade tiera and strut your stuff! Apparently we are not going to be able to have reserved seating for either event, but we will try to make a decision at the meet & greets about when and where to meet on Saturday so that we can sit together. The info will then be available at the TQS booth. IT'S A NEW DAY!!
BTW...I will be at the booth for meet & greet on Thursday and Friday. Classes on other days!

I will be there too, will try to be there Thursday, Friday and Saturday at, or around 1:00 pm. I am going to be traveling starting 10/15. We are going to PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL QUILT FESTIVAL in Santa Clara, CA Then on to Texas next week. I will be checking e-mail. and maybe TQS, sometimes too Hope to see all of you there.
