Terrie, it is good to have you back. The quilt will be beautiful. I love the colors you chose.
Have fun at the wedding. I did wear beige at my son's wedding, but only because I wanted too. Keeping my mouth shut is another matter. As I get older I pretty much say what I want.

Lorra, I think you're cool. 8) I keep my mouth shut and get in trouble anyway. What good is that. Perhaps I should change my tune.

YooHoo Lorna I've done my silver birch quilt. I can't remember which thread we were talking on

              Theme was Autumn

Wendy, that is just fabulous! Beautiful quilting too. How did you bind it?

I don't think she has bound it, a facing perhaps. Great to see what you have come up with after all the discussions about it at Loch Lomond

Is it supposed to be growing sideways?

I love the silver birch quilt. It is just beautiful. Please discuss the techniques you used. Quilting, color choice, embroidery and design couldn't be better. What's it's size? If it's small it should be a study for something to fill a wall. Beautiful.

It's faced as Rosemary says . I sewed on the binding and sewed close to the seam then took it all to the back with lots of pressing

Lois it's a swap I do with an online friend each year she makes felt and I quilt. I'm meeting her for the first time Wednesday, she has lambs :P

It's raw edge appliqué with the leaves (except 2) printed on some hand dye cotton with metallic paint then cut round leaf shape and bondawebbed on. The stitched branch bunched the fabric so I had to cut a section out

Then just sewed round and quilted

                        It's 11 3/4" x 8 1/4"

Oh and I used sharpie to draw on the trunk and sewed and quilted it as well.

                        Thank you for the encouragement

Really nice. I like the leaves and also how the thin lavender and yellow lines draw you in.
