    Wendy, it is beautiful!

She took tons and tons of pictures of birch trees, or parts of them, while we were in Scotland.
    Great work!

      Thank you for the comments

I hated making it, who wants autumn colours in the middle of summer especially as Lesley doesn't like orange but i'm pleased how it turned out.

I should have used it for this challenge "Yesterday my leaves were green"

I'll post a pic of the piece I receive later in the week.

Wendy, your quilt is beautiful too! What thread type top and bottom did you use? I'm trying to machine quilt more and am at the "practice, practice, practice" stage and am trying to learn! I'm about 500 miles south of Renata, just in case you decide to send it this way!

 you won't be impressed. It's cheapo polyester thread top and bottom. It's fairly fine, bit of a sheen and right colour. I think I got it in a big box of threads with one of my machines.
The thread on the leaves is Mettler and poly on the bottom, there's a bit of mono joining pieces of background.

I have to practice with each piece,it's amazing how quick you lose the knack. I belong to a fmq postcard exchange group on FB so I'm committed to practicing every month.

Are you joining in this challenge, it's on the first post

Thanks for the information on threads, Wendy. I have been trying to think of something I could do to participate . . . . . .still at a loss for ideas, though.
