Normal is just TOOOOOOOO much work! I call it being an adult--I try not to do it too often.

I did something today that I have not done in years--I used freezer paper to actually wrap some meat for the freezer. NOW that IS normal!

Not that I have ever done it myself, but then it isn't available in the supermarkets here  Specialist shops only....

Thanks! I bought 2 rolls to make sure I would not run out! But when I do, I'll make a visit in the West Island!

Actually I picked mine up at Lorna's when we visited last year  , and at the rate I've used it so far it will last years :P Otherwise I tend to save my quilty shopping for the GNQS or Harrogate Knitting & Stitching Show.

I'm trying to catch up on about 30 pages of messages here. Not sure if I can make it tonight, But I better tell you a little what's been going on in my neck of the woods.

I have reached government retirement age last week, but have not handed in my resignation yet. I need to seriously look at it over the summer holidays. There are lots of positives and an almost equal number of negatives.

So, work is still stressful (made worse by bad line management), family are all doing well. little Faye has just started crawling!

But here is my 'wee' problem: About 10 years ago I had early cancer of the uterus lining. It received very successful laser treatment which was followed up by an implant into my uterus lining in order to keep the lining thin and avoid a recurrence of the problem. So, I go and sort out my serious weight problem, and as a result of it that implant slips. So the specialist decided to remove , because at my age that lining should stay thin. I'm 62. Since then my left ovary has decided to behave like a teenager, and my doctor serious advised me to take precaution because I could get pregnant. How utterly ridiculous is that?!! So, I'm sure you can I imagine that at my age I should not have to deal with regular and long periods. It plays havoc with my energy levels.

Congratulations, if you have not switched off yet. Here comes the interesting bit: I have three mug rugs who are looking for a home. One of them would be especially suitable for a lover of wine. Any takers??!

Oh, Lorchen-- what a situation (both professionally and medically).
Good luck sorting it all out. You know I am a wine lover, but since I already have a Lorchen original I'll anxiously wait to see the photo that the lucky recipient posts!

Well, Lorchen you top it all! No one else I know has ever had to decide to retire or to have another baby at the same time!
What a conundrum

Lorchen if your ovary is functioning then your lining surely will thicken, I'd go back to the specialist. Mind you it would be good for the grand kids to have a baby aunt to play with.

I went on my preparation for retirement course on Friday ( I finish in Jan) and one thing I came away with is don't work yourself into the ground so you can't enjoy retirement. Get an IFA to work out how to make up the shortfall in your income and say knickers to your nightmare of a line manager. I've been tempted to keep going but no I've decided I'm going when I get my state pension.

Looking forward to seeing your mugrugs and who's a wine lover. I could name a few
