Not all of them have a binding on around the edge, so it can be a good way to practise different ways of finishing quilts - and of trying out different making techniques to see how you get on with them. If you go here see-quilts/show-and-tell-quilts/ you will be able to see some of the mug rugs that have already been made & posted. It tends to be the receiver that posts the mug rug on show & tell (which reminds me I haven't posted any of mine yet ops: , I'll try & get it done next). The first post that Rita directed you to gives the general guidelines of what is supposed to happen, but it is an easy going exchange.

Would you like one of my White Horses? I am doing a series of chalk figures that are found on the various chalk Downs of England, and still have a few horses unspoken for....
Can I have a white horse please Rosemary!!!!

Yes - after CW has moved on, same to Geneva. I had to start writing up my list of muggys to do before I forget - it is longer than I thought ops:

Wendy, if Rosemary ever makes any more giants, I would just love to be at the front of the queue! He could wear boxers or be in his birthday suit.

Matthew--don't ask about the giant and get these girls going again! To keep from overwhelming you, I will wait to be added to your list of mug rugs. There are about 25 of us active in this group and that can be a bit much to think about. Look at what others have done in the show and tell area and you can let your imagination go wild.
Charae--isn't Margarita a sweetheart? Glad you got to meet her and thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Lorchan, I had earmarked the 'Lady of the North' especially for you.

I thought I should post my current exchange list so that nobody thinks I've forgotten them (and so people can let me know if I have....).

Here's who I think I still need to make mug rugs for:

                        LisaWantsToKnow
                        Limbania
                        Maureen
                        Rosemary
                        Charae
                        Wendy
                        Lorchen

(Norma, I actually mailed yours a little over a week ago so hopefully it will arrive soon.)

Rest assured that I am working on these and will get them out as soon as I can! Let me know if I've forgotten anyone!

Margarita is most definitely a sweetheart. Her husband, Joe, took the picture. I recognized both of them immediately from their TQS taping!

Nancy, I can't wait to see what you've made for me. I'm working on my next batch so hopefully soon, there will be one for you.

Rosemary, I would like to go on your list someday, but it can wait till next year if you prefer.
Matthew, you are welcome on my list. I have some to make before I can make one for you. Just let me know if/when you are interested

Rosemary, would she come 'en natural' or somehow covered??

Are you at home tomorrow?? Even though I'm a member of the union, I cannot support the teachers tomorrow because my contract states I'm 'Support', so my employer could take disciplinary action if I don't turn up for work in the morning, even though the school is closed to students. Rolling eyes..... A whole day of boring admin. stuff.

Mug Rugs in today's mail! Two BEAUTIES from Australia! A fabulous pieced hexie and fabric from Robyn and a wonderful, colorful bird charmer with some tea from Toni! What a double treat. Thank you so much, ladies. They are perfect! I love them and will treasure them!
