Thanks for all the praise though--feels good to know others appreciate my work.
Ritzy, nothing you have said makes me think that you are any less clever or talented!!!!
And Renata you made a beauty for Betty Jo. I love the quilting!

Here is a picture of the one, I received from Renata, that I wrote about yesterday:

I so agree with Charae, Ritzy. As far as I'm concerned, the Dover butterfly is just a shell, a point of departure, the rest is the artiste, you!
PS If it makes you feel any better, I'm going to borrow the swirls in the background quilting and put them in a mug rug I'm working on. I've put together a birthday mug rug for one of my husband's former colleagues and I've been wrecking my brain trying to figure out how to do the sky... it's been pieced for three days and I've been agonizing over it. Not any more, Ritzy!!! Thanks! :P

Thank you all--glad you like them, Ritzy and BJ. Maureen, I mailed yours the same day as Ritzy and BJ, keep an eye on the mailbox!

Renata, the MR you made for Ritzy is fabulous, too. Again, love your quilting! It just shines!

Thanks Charae! I loved making Ritzy's mug rug. As Ritzy's doing true confessions today, I'll make one too: I wish I had done the quilting on her mug rug but I just picked a decorative stitch on my machine and went to town practicing straight lines... But I will admit, I tried a few different things and I liked what I chose best.

Ritzy, as I can't draw a lick, Dover is my best friend! I'm betting that your drawing skills are better than mine, and the way you used the image in your mug rug was pure art!!

Mathew, welcome aboard! I still owe something like 6 mug rugs, but could exchange with you after I'm done with those. That might give you some time to get started using your new machine. You'll have to share with us what machine you got and how the learning goes!

All I can say about the mug rugs on the last few pages is -- OUTSTANDING, GORGEOUS, BEAUTIFUL. The colors, quilting, everything about them is wonderful. Lucky recipients!

And yes, Matthew, what kind of machine is coming in the mail? And when do you expect delivery? Do you have one now and getting a new one, or is the new one your first? Come on...share!

Hey Matthew I'll exchange with you as well as long as you don't mind a little wait while I do a UFO or two. I'll do a traditional patchwork one for you, that's a challenge for me, I normally do loads of applique and picture quilts.
