The USPS must have been on overtime because look what was in my mail box today--Oh, Rita, this is so special; the little shamrock tea thingy (don't know what that's called) is just too much. Love the quilting and the coloring.

And the "W" for Wendy is wonderful. I did go and purchase that book and fully intend to work on each letter this winter to make a quilt just for me--they are too whimsical and want to enjoy them for a while myself.

I do hope that when the new TQS web site is launched, that we get a "LIKE" button!!

I am so pleased you like them ladies. I got an email from Terrie in Canada yesterday to say her's had arrived too. The mug rug made it to Canada quicker than it did to Belper Wendy! It's my own take on the Pam Holland idea. Her 'W' is a lot more complex than mine. Jane it's meant to be an Irish teabag - Barry's Gold Label Tea to be precise, although we use loose leaf tea here, so much nicer. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the little mug rugs as much as I enjoyed making them.

How did you know I wear big knickers  if only I had a pair of pins like that
                  Wendy--too funny.
                  Rita--how did you make Wendy's "w".
Also, I love what you did with all three of our mug rug--well done!

Thanks Ritzy. Wendy's W was drawn with black pen first, then coloured in with fabrico markers. I then drew all the lines on the trousers and finally stitched everything including all those skinny lines on the trousers. It's actually great fun to do and I am enjoying quilting in those thin lines too. Jane's mug rug was also drawn, coloured in and then stitched.

Rita--you are doing a great job with those pens and markers.

                            Rita,
I drink tea also and figured that it was the little tab from a tea bag but not sure what that little tab is called. It's kind of funny but I order my tea from Adagio and the Irish Breakfast Tea is my very favorite although for whatever reason, it's hard to get right now in loose leaf, just in the tea bags, but I prefer the loose leaf also. I'm going to need to look back to find the name of the pens you use for coloring as I need to get some ordered for this Fall to take south with me. Thanks again for the beautiful mug rug. What's your mother's number so we can all call her?

Don't you just love that class? Joe's sense of humor is terrific. I haven't done anything but watch yet but I like his way of teaching a lot
