Oh my, Ritzy! I just looked at a closeup of your Christmas tree quilt--you stitched the background fabric too! I was so taken by the tatting that I did not realize it until I enlarged the view... wow!

WooHoo! I am officially and owner of a lounge lizard! And let me tell you--he really flew across the pond quickly--funny, I can't see any wings. Along with the wonderful lizard I received some chocolate(too hot to drink right now) and two spools of Valdani Hand Dyed Variegated thread in two different weights to try. Can you tell I am excited?

Oh dear, I was so excited I forgot to give credit where enormous credit is due--Lorchen made my lounge lizard ops: ops: ops: ops:

Gorgeous! Based on the cross-stitch, I'm guessing it's from Lorchen. Correct?

Renata--I wanted to stick with my black backgrounds so I had to come up with a way to make the fabric look Christmasy--I love the look of plaids so that way my effort at making plaid. The lightest thread is a metallic by Superior Threads. The tatting is by hand and was done on a needle instead of with a shuttle which I was never able to learn. Then of course because it was a Christmas tree--it needed decorations. Anyway, I think I got carried away. The little manger and lamb are made of plastic canvas that I stitched and then sewed on.

Beautiful mug rugs Renata. Nancy that's a beautiful rose and I love the background fabric. Robyn, love the hexie mug rug. (Are you a hex-aholic like me? ) Ritzy, I hadn't noticed that you had stitched the plaid, very clever and lovely.

                        Fab mug rugs today.
Nancy, I love roses and yours is beautiful. Love the colors you used.
Ritzy, you do fantastic things. I'm really impressed with all you have shown.
Lorchen, you are a master with your cross stitching. The colors are great.
Robyn, sorry I forgot you in the first round. It's a pretty hexie thing
By the way, I'm getting a bit nervous, because I sent your muggie at the same time as the one for Lotti. I hope it shows up soon.

And Marilyn, yours is on its way, too.

Love the lizard, Lorchen! Ritzy, I've got to make Christmas plaid fabric!!! Wendy, I sent him the photo I sent you all and told him I'd have to eat them before the birds and insects got to them... his reply was that they would not get eaten by birds and insects before his return. I'll still eat them!   There's more ripening below those!

Lorchen your Lizard for Ritzy is terrific. You really are a flyer at the cross-stitch. And the colours are beautiful.

I also received a mug rug today from Rosemary. It's the Westbury/Bratton white horse 1778. I love it. It arrived with a little lotus pouch with a beautiful little beaded lizard inside. So cute. Thanks so much Rosemary.

Renata, those tomatoes look too tasty to leave, enjoy.

Lots of fabulous new muggies today. Couldn't choose a favorite!

And the first white horse too... So good... And guess what I've been listening to while sewing tonight: terry pratchett s 'a hat full of sky' where tiffany explains the white horse cut into the chalk... 'Taint what a horse looks like, It's what a horse be.'

                                Beautiful lizard too!
