Rosemary, Ritalin is the name of a medication given for attention deficit disorder, Rit is the dye. Although, there are so many of us quilters/dyers that seem to have wandering minds that maybe they can make a product called Rit-alin that will dye fabric and be absorbed thru the skin of the dyer to keep you on task!

Kudos to Rita for her newest, gorgeous mug rug, and congrats to Rosemary that it will making its home with her!

And please, ladies, let's put an end to all this "high standards" talk! We're all doing them for fun, maybe to try a new technique in a bite size project, and to SHARE a bit of ourselves with each other. It's such a thrill to know that something that came out of my sewing room has found a home across the country, or across the pond...gives me goose bumps, really. And to RECEIVE one of these creations is thrilling beyond description!

To funny Connie. And Thanks for the reminder of standards. All the marvelous "muggie" rugs are sooooo cool. I'm a wee bit scared and shakey of FM quilting.

Terry just go for it. We're too excited getting a mug rug to worry about quality, it's all about the fun of the exchange

Just to make sure everyone understands the Setacolor. You can paint on dry or wet fabric. You can spray the fabric afterwards to make the color run a little bit. After drying flat you heat set the color with the iron and it's finished.

Soda ash is for Procion MX dyes and is needed to set those colors.

By the way, Sue, I love your painted piece and the butterflies. Bright colors on a grey and windy day

I don't know an Irish version but the one we used to do was:

                        eeny meany miny moe,
catch a tiger by the toe,
if he squeals let him go,
                        eeny meeny miny moe,
                        flowers in the garden,
                        fishes in the sea,
if you want to pick one,
                        please pick me.

Okay, Limbania, but it rhymes in Italian:

                          Il pollice dice: Ho fame!
L'indice dice: Non c'è più pane!
                          Il medio dice: Lo compreremo!
L'anulare dice: Ce n'è ancora un pezzettino!
Il mignolo dice: Datelo a me che sono il più piccolino!

                          The thumb says: I'm hungry!
The index finger says: There's no more bread!
The middle finger says: We'll buy it!
The ring finger says: There's still a little piece!
The pink says: GIve to me me the, I'm the smallest!
