You're on Wendy! Marilyn, if you really are from Idaho, I might have to deliver it in person...love that state, road trip Lois, we could trade while pondering a batch of treadle machines. (by the way, I'm going to try to make contact with the Treadle lady this week). Connie, did you know we have a denominational link? Terrie, I have some bird fabric, too! That's five for me if Ya'll accept. No packages will go out until the end of May

Margo--I too, was just grinning thinking about how this is going to go. I don't know if I am considered a lounge lizard or not but I am going to be watching this--closely--before I commit to anything. Someone, let me know if I am considered a LL.

By 'lounge lizards' I was thinking of anyone who habitually lounges around the forum nattering to all and sundrie, and likes/needs to keep warm by basking next to the light of their sewing machine on a pile of quilts. I also said that I wasn't being exclusive about it only being open to LL's, if you wander about the forums reading about what is going on then you are invited to join in the mayhem!

Hey Wendy, can I book July for a swap with you, since you seem to be allocating months?

Marilyn, I doubt that I will ever be passing (unless I win the lottery) but are you up for a swap in May?

I think I had better stop here for the time being, but don't worry I will be back for more swaps later...

As Patti and I are only just joining the official swap page, I suggest I'll swap with you first Patti... If that's ok with you

I don't think I qualify as a lounge lizard,... yet I would LOVE to participate (I collected website bookmarks for mug rugs last year, think they are so neat!) BUT will have to postpone. I'm going to have my spine surgery in May, which will hopefully relieve the pain that prevents me from getting much sewing done. Between now and then, I have to put first priority on Amy Butler Laminates adult bibs for myself! Yep, I am thinking ahead to all the stuff I normally bend way forward for (so as not to mess my shirt/chest up), that I will not be able to bend forward for after surgery. Little things like eating, brushing teeth... So I plan to make a pattern for a large adult-woman bib, that has a gusseted catch-pocket along the bottom edge for the things that fall off my spoon, and bounce down my chest to my lap!

I may make a "hip holster" with pockets to carry light things too... I'll be restricted to lifting <2 pound items, but since my hips are below the surgery site, I think I should be able to carry things on my hips and keep my hands free for the walker or the cane or whatever.

Don't know how soon I'll be able to sit at the sewing machine after May... please may I look for mug rug exchange takers this summer or fall? Oh, and please wish me luck... this is usually safe, but it's still risky surgery. I am very hopeful for getting my active life back Although I will have to be smarter about doing things that could re-damage my back, or undo the scoliosis repair. Hehe, guess that's obvious, silly me!
