Would love to if I wasn't on a tight deadline. I'm putting the boat so you see it through a church window though. That would be a symbol of her mother
That's a great idea. I am loving it! It's getting better all the time!! I can't wait to see it. I am loving your creativity..

Charlie done. Apart from adding a hanger and sewing round the binding, I don't want to let him go now  .

Don't think I'll do any more speed quilting until Whispers

Don't know where to start, Wendy, because everything about this quilt is lovely, from Charlie with very expressive eyes, to beautiful choice of colors, Charlie's colors, the color of the window frame, the background fabric you chose, the echo quilting around Charlie that makes him look like he is turning around, the sailboat and the way it shadows the hill behind it... I could go on, and I can see why you would not want to let him go! Congratulations--it is just beautiful!

I agree with everything Renata said as well. It is just beautiful Wendy, well done. I can understand why you don't want it to go. You will be having people queuing up for you to do pets portraits

Ditto what everyone else said, he is wonderful, and the window works well too. And just think of the advantage you have over the rest of us for speed quilting now

ops: I'm back ops: Sorry I disapeared for a while. It just seems out of a sudden things got kind of crazy and really busy around Halloween, all the way to Thanksgiving.  Between kids school activities. Some reorganizing and light remodeling of some things around the house. Getting ready for my VBF/almost like a sister and her family visiting for Thanksgiving from California, while also getting things set up (reservations, shuttle, tickets, etc.) for my sister and her family (4 kids and the parents) vacation to Disneyland/Vegas/Arizona in December-Christmas. Are you tired yet?

I took a couple of quick picks though but, I should've post a quick note to let you know I was still breathing. Thank you for your concern and I really appreciate Loise sending me an e-mail to check on me.

Marylin, I like the quilt you made from Loti's photo. I also read on another thread you're having issues with Big Bernie, hope it all gets resolved fast and hassle free.

Wendy, your Charlie quilt is absolutely gorgeous. I agree with everyone else, you're more than ready for the chinese whispers challenge. I also love your chook quilt.

Rita, your witch quilt is so stinking cute!

Well done Wendy. It's a wonderful quilt. Charlie is so good. I hope your friend will be pleased - can't see why she wouldn't.

Limbania, it's great that you are back and well. Sounds like it was a very busy time. And with small kids Christmas is always hectic.

Personally I think Charlie is saying 'Who, Me?' right after 'rescuing' somthing like a chicken or doughnut from the worktop.
