First of all, welcome back Limbina. Missed you. I know its very good that we all have a life other than the one we share here in cyberspace with our quilting friends. Good to have you back. Good to know you have those very special people in your life that kept you so busy. Many of us are no longer taking care of young families and that makes a difference.

Wendy, Great job! You ended up telling the very same story you started out wanting to tell. You started wanting to tell the story in a more detailed realistic way and it just didn't work. In the end, I think the story is told in a much more powerful way. It's now poetry rather than prose. I wouldn't want to give it away either. I hope your friend would allow you to borrow it from time to time to show it. Others should see it. It is a very lovely memorial quilt. Well done!

the road ! I'm hoping ! Oh, bother..I wish Bernie was working ! Will be Friday before I can take
it to Boise. Hoping for same day repair  .

Thank you Lois I appreciate your words

Good luck Marilyn with Bernie. Perhaps his holiday will give you a bit of time to do some creative thinking. Wish I could see Maureen's quilt, this is going to be agony for over a year yet.

Woohoo! You go, Marilyn! Lots of creative thoughts coming your way from across the pond and around the globe.

Limbania, life does get crazy, sometimes, doesn't it?

Wendy...your quilt is amazing. I've never done anything like it and was intrigued by your drawing for the dog and then the end results!! I'll have to add that to my list of things to try.

Go for it Lorna, it's from a photo. Watch Rob Appell's lessons first, he goes through the process simply.

So exciting Marylin!!! ... I'm next  :!: :!: :!: Oh my! My tummy is starting to get all knotted with anticipation, excitement and fear (just a little bit). Good thing is, the holidays will be over and everything would be nice and calm -as much as it can be when you have lil'ones, that is

Thank you all for welcoming back. So glad to see you're all doing good.

Yea!! Glad the quilt made it across the sea!! I know you'll do a spectacular job!!

I'm getting nervous (in a good way) about my turn coming up! But also looking forward to seeing Limbania's interpretation. I always love her work! (And everyone else's, but I only get to see hers for now....)

Marilyn, Writing to you from neighboring Nevada. I arrived yesterday on the bumpiest flight ever. I flew into Salt Lake City on a 747 and it was like riding a rolling coaster. It was one of those flights where everyone in the entire cabin claps and cheers when the plane hits the ground. The weather was awful - extremely high winds. Believe you me I wasn't any to eager to get on the next flight - a propeller plane with 30 seats going over more high mountains. Anyway I am glad to have reached my destination with smooth sailing through Nevada skies. All that is beside the point, I want to know how long it took for the quilt to arrive. I don't remember reading the date Lorna put it in the mail. At the end of next summer I will be mailing my quilt back across the pond to Rosemary and I want to know if I should be mailing it to Lorna first. I will remember you got the quilt DEC 3. When did Lorna post it? Good luck with the quilt and with Bernie.

Yikes ! Lois ! Nasty weather to fly in, but you landed safe and sound ! Lorna posted the quilt on Nov, 21...
It arrived here on the 1st ...I couldn't get it "till to day 'cause I missed the 1 hr. pick-up window at the PO.
It was a Priority Envelope for $10.40....of course each one may be a bit different....wt. wise....I don't
know but what it might be different going here to there? I don't know yet the cost Lorna to Maureen...
we'll ask...I'm thinking the Military mail is most pennywise. Enjoy your visit !
