No, no, no, I wasn’t hinting anything, honestly.  I just thought it was a lovely thing that Lois bought one of Rita’s small quilts and it would be nice for everyone when they opened their parcel with the quilt for inspiration that a little quilt was in with it for them. As usual I open my mouth before I think ops: ops: and it would probably cause a bit of trouble as everyone has lots of other things to do.

That's what I understood Maureen and thought Rosemary was thinking the same. It is a great idea to send a little quilt or a textile postcard to the person we are forwarding our quilt. I'm all for it if everybody else agree.

Ah ha, l Mrs. Thicky McThick has finally got it here! Thanks for clarifying Maureen. It is a good idea and I am on for it if everybody else is.

Limbania, is it not the middle of the night where you are? I get so confused by the time differences.

Yes it is Rita. I'm a night owl! When the kids are sleeping I can take care of my own things without interruptions

Whereas what I was thinking was to have them coming along/around separately, at a different pace to the offical Chinese Whispers, so we didn't have to get both bits finished to go in the post at the same time.

Either way will work for me. We can all start working on a little piece now and have it ready ahead of time. Some will have more time than others depending on which position we are on the list.

Alternatively we could make myriorama pictures, and swap those (& copies) each mini picture is 5" x3" and it doesn't matter which order you put them in, they still make a landscape, because the horizon lines all match up. you can also play with different techniques, the one on the far left is needle point, and the one in the background on the right is pulled work embroidery.

Maureen, It's 1:39 AM in Arizona. Mountain time ( go figure, we are in the desert) and no daylight saving time. Usually is 7-8 ahead in Europe.

Sounds interesting Rosemary but I am afraid it is not for me. I really don’t like working on something that small. I have had a few operations on my hands so small doesn’t work for me.
