I don't do the puzzles, I just ignore them, and scroll past. Same as I do if any one particular thing doesn't interest me.

My least favorite area is the Quilt Gallery. I wish there was an easier way to search for a quilt. I rarely know the screen name of the maker, and I certainly don't know the number of the quilt! There are over 18,000 quilts in there, and I never go there to look at them. It's a shame really. I wish we could search by quilt genre like 30's, or civil war, or log cabin, or Stars for a New Day, or Mariner's Compass, etc.
Hey 2L! It may not be a comprehensive search, but if you will click on "Find a Quilt" (under FORUM on the purple bar) and enter something like "civil war" for "Name of Pattern or Block", you will get a few hits. Or scroll down a little on that page and select a genre for a few more. Hope that helps.

          Headquarter New - M.I.A.

Has anyone heard from Cathy - cpblay recently, she is listed as living in Vancleave, MS. Is that tornado country? It is just that Lorna & myself haven't heard from her at all since signing up.

Her sister is Sugarmuffin57 on TQS. We can check with her and see if she’s okay.

Thank you Margo! That does help a bit when wanting to look for certain types of quilts.

I tell ya, Margo is our Go To Girl here!!!

arrgh...I just noticed that I was supposed to press the seams OPEN...and I did not do that! Sorry to whomever gets my orangey, pressed to one side reels!
This I noticed after fighting with my long arm tension for the past hour. :-)

we all make mistakes sometimes - in my case generally after reading the instructions three times - especially if i'm trying to get something out into the post TODAY!
i'm sure we'll love the reels and re-ironing a reel here or there won't be the end of the world - look forward to hopefully getting one of yours

Argh! We were supposed to press them open?

OK, I just checked my remnant from when I made my reels, they were pressed open. Personally, I'm happy to get them whatever way. I don't think it will make any difference to me. So don't worry, anybody. We're going to make scrumptious quilts with these.

Did everyone see the article on the daily blog about 2 patch quilts? Another idea for a spool quilt!

                            Hi everyone,
My sister is fine. She has had a lot going on and has not had access to her sewing machine or her computer. I will call her and tell her you were looking for her. Hopefully she will be able to send her own message soon.
                            The tornados didn't get her.

                                UPDATE:

I have received all but one package and that is coming from someone who graciously volunteered to fill in at the last minute (after the deadline.)

There has been one instance where I sent an email notifying someone that their pacakge had arrived, but they never received the email. Another instance of me not sending out a notice to someone whose package I had received. (I'm so sorry!)

So for everyone else (except the last minute one) I have received your package. If you have any doubts, then please let me know and I will confirm.

All the little stacks look great! I have bagged up all but the last group in preparation for a trip up to Rosemary's to finish the sort--and visit the Quilt Museum in York.
