          I absolutely agree. This has been way too much fun and we all get to be winners! And besides that, I can't possibly pick a favorite.

            Dear Sisters;

            I finally completed my quilt top ! :lol: :lol: I learned so much along the way! If I was able to do it over again I would have taken photographs before sewing the sections together in order to view the value of the fabrics a bit better. Thank you all so much for your encouragement & support. I never would have even attempted such a project on my own without all of you along the way.

              Barbara,
              I think you did a fabulous job. Nice and interesting border too.

                Barbara, very nicely done! And, I love the blue, batik border! (Say that three times fast!)

                  Barbara, I love your quilt! It has the illusion of so much dimension due to the way you place your colors. I, too, would do things differently with my HST squares if I were to start over again. But I think yours is just perfect!

                        Barbara,

                        Your quilt top is beautiful. I am glad you took the huge step to undertake the project, and am hopeful that the finished product shows you how much you really can do. And remember, your sisters are always here for advice and support for any project.

                            Barbara & Annis Beautiful quilts. I've haven't been reading the posts for so long--I had a lot of catching up to do. Been so busy working and getting ready to go to Fl for the winter I've gotten behind. I was so glad to see the extension of the deadline. I hope I can get mine done and ready to send in. I changed my pattern--taking apart the blocks that I had done at first. Now I'm on my 2nd version and am much happier with this one. My quilter is in Fl and can take my top in mid Feb to quilt. I love all the finished projects shared here. We have a very talented Sisterhood. I love being a part of it. Blessings to all of you this holiday season.

                              Using your hand to describe where you live works for Wisconsinites also - just have to use the back of the left hand or palm-side of the right. Really helps when describing to children.

                                It's finished--finally!!! After starting one and not like the way it was going together--I've got the 2nd one done!!. I'm really happy with this one. I think I'll call it "International Friendship Stars" It has 848 HST and 144 2" squares in it. Since I made 616 to trade--I needed to make more. My good quilting "sister", Paula (Lady Z) helped me to sew the extras. It's ready for the quilter to now do her magic. We're in Florida for the winter and she lives here also. Looks like I should make the deadline this time--thanks for the extension. Looking forward to see everyone's completed projects.
