Thank you all so much for the kind words. I'm pleased with the way it went together. Had to watch how I picked the HST's up or they ended up going the wrong way. Needless to say I did my share of "reverse sewing". Wish I could take credit for the pattern--but it was developed by Jean Nolte and is in the Nov/Dec 2011 Fons and Porter
magazine. Seems that they too had a HST exchange so this was the result of that. I'm thrilled to get it finished in time for the deadline. Thanks again

Thank you, Shirley. I wish the binding and label were on but at least it's quilted.

Pat, you did an outstanding job!

                  TQS/AAQI Challenge 2012

OK quilters! This quilter is issuing a challenge!
The Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative (AAQI) is a national charity that sells small donated quilts to fund Alzheimer's research. We’ve seen Alex, Ricky, Libby, Sue, Hollis, Caryl, John, and other fabulous quilters do it. We can do it too! Let’s jump in and do some serious damage. I mean quilting.

The number I have in mind is 1,000 in 1 year. Make them, buy them, or both. Every quilt donation, every quilt sale counts. I think the TQS community could really shake things up! (In a good way!)
It’s me, Clara Lawrence, the Sorting Queen. Come join in and lets do some stitching together. (Hey, there's an idea: build your mini-quilts from left-over half-square triangles and strips!)
With the triangle exchange I was blown away by all the huge hearts and how quickly so many came to other quilters aid. I’m keeping this short. Too much data to share. Come see for yourself. You know a lot of us have more than one project at a time. It is a rare few (I envy them) who can do a project all the way to completion before starting a new. You guys can come over too, by the way.

                  See ya soon. Clara

Just finished a small wall quilt based on Edyta's table topper. Wish I could add a picture here. But it's on my profile. Jan

Happy Dancing here! I've finished my top

I am going to have to find something taller to hang it from for the final pictures

WhenI was putting the outer border on, it said that it wanted a fat rope between the 2 sets of flying geese, that should be interesting, and I hope I get it done in time for the deadline - high speed quilting (for me) here I come!
