Well done Joan, another UFO flying high! It's lovely too and what a great gift.

Dawn, I loved your names for the quilts for the cats and dogs. And 'Pointless Disaster in the Pines' is sheer brilliance. Have a good day today. And thanks for making me laugh.

Joan - What a beautiful quilt! Doesn't it feel good to get it finished up? And a great quilt name! You and Dawn must have gone to the same quilt naming school! I need to find that school!!

I'm pleased to announce that I have managed to finish a ufo - not a very old one admitedly, and not even a quilty thing since it is a new summer skirt for me, but it is made out of quilting cotton - does that count?

Rosemary, I would think that you just completed the piecing part and there is no quilting to be had... sounds like a finished UFO to me!

Joan, Congratulations on finishing that wonderful quilt. Love its name. More applause for posting its picture.

Rosemary, I agree the skirt counts but only if you post a picture.

Dawn, I love your creative sense of humor.

                          Have good day everyone!

Sorry for the duff photo - best I can achieve at the moment - it is actually a navy blue & white print. There was a stupidly small amount left to do on the turned down petersham waistband, that need a little adjusting and unpicking, which put the brakes on this project (as well as the interruption of having to go & cook supper  ) Still it is done now, and will hopefully be a useful everyday skirt for work.

Roseanne, I started a blog herecommunity/my-profile/PosyP, with my first post describing my weekend away, just about recovered from that, but since I didn't manage to get my camera out all weekend, I am waiting on copies of the ones taken by Brown Owl.

This weekend I am planning on dyeing (I hope I got the spelling right there  ) Izzy is being the greek goddess Hestia (of the Hearth & Home) and needs her chiton to be all orangy/red flame like - I've got a cunning plan, just hope it works. For some reason when DH asked if Hestia was the femail version of Heston (Blumenthal - amazing chef) Izzy got ever-so cross with us

Well done Rosemary. Great looking skirt attached to a great looking pair of pins!

If I was a little girl I wouldn't like to be compared to a balding middle-aged man with glasses - even if he is an amazing chef! I'm with Izzy on that one.
