Thanks, NanaPie. Yes, the quilt is half-size. I used embroidery floss on the cross-stitch and size 8 perle cotton on the pomegranates in the center triangles. There's no batik fabric in the quilt -- that multicolor fabric that looks batik is an old Laurel Burch from my shelves and from Ebay (I ran out and needed more). The stitching wasn't hard -- my technique with the perle cotton was stab-stitching. -
I am still amazed that someone would do this quilt at half-size. Mine is going on my bed ... hmmmm. Maybe I'll follow your lead at make a half-size for my wall. I hope your quilt does well. Just being selected is such an honor for you. Back when we all first started this BOM I remember you posting about a previous BOM that you did at half-size, which did very well at an AQS show. I have learned SO MUCH from the members of this forum, and Barbara, that this is the best money spent on quilting. Plus it's fun

I have finally finished the top. It took 2 years and a few other quilts inbetween, but I am very happy with it. This will be the first quilt that I send out for quilting.
I have enjoyed seeing all the quilts and colorways. It was quite a journey.Comment
